* under the sink grow *
originally i had 2 24'' fluoro ottoplant tubes then added 2 90w cfl's and going to add another 2 this week.. bulbs are hanging from an extension wire mounted to the bottom of the sink which makes adjusting the light height very easy... i have about 2'x2'x2 to work with for basically 3 plants and will lst all.. let me know what u guys think.. not done reflecting everything yet.. :)
-
* under the sink grow *
heres the status of the plants... started around march 20... so that makes about 10 days into it... anyone know whats up with green pot? why are the leaves growing as if i trimmed it? there are 6 leaves on a node instead of 4? :)

looks good. try to keep those lights close like 2-3 inches. are you gonna scrog? because you will run out of room if you don't.
-p

* under the sink grow *
hey thanks... i may LST instead.. what would u suggest?
added 2 more cfls @ 60watt equivlants for better spectrum i guess? can I flower with the lights i have now does anyone know?
-
* under the sink grow *
I would learn to LST and do a SOG.

Cute! I considered under-the-sink too once... decided to risky since strangers/visitors/boyfriend would be more likely to open a sink cupboard then my current cabinet, a dresser. I would totally LST too... I'm growing Holland's Hope right now and LSTed them all along, they're no more than six inches tall and a few weeks into flowering now. 'Course I'm running out of sideways room to stake 'em... might just let 'em go now and move my lights up a bit once they get to that part. Good luck!

do you think i can start lst'ing now or should i hold off until 5-6 nodes? also I cant really sog with 3 pots.... i wont have any 'cannopy' effect...?? i was thinking of scroging, but can i scrog + lst? also.. this may seem like a VERY stupid question, but if i do get males, then theres nothign i can do right? just kill em?
-
* under the sink grow *
I would hold off on LST'n untill they get to a state of small plants,, so yeah 4 nodes is good.
If you get a male there isn't much you can do with em beside stick him in a room with a female to pollinate her and then you'd end up with a bunch of seeds.
I did it with my first grow I got like 300 Plus quality seeds. (I have it in a Log) CFL Grow LOG
It was a good experiment, But its kinda dissapointing getting no BUD. lol The seeds are good cuz then you don't have to buy many later. But I still do cuz I want different kinds of Dope you know.,,,
If you have another place to Grow (Or another sink) then set them in there. and keep your females in this current sink..
Good Luck...

thanks for the reply kd... i actually just read your post a little too late.. lol.. i already started the lst process... i figure it would be easiser to bend them while theyre young.. lets hope i didnt fuck up and throw away these last 2 weeks.. anyway.. here is the beginning of my lst progress.
-
* under the sink grow *
here they are 21 days into vegging.. theyre gwetting awfully big and very very leafy... since then, ive removed the paperclips that were holding them down in my attempt to lst because i felt that they were a bit too young to be lst'ed and werent growing at a fast enough rate... also, i dontknow what it could have been but they began to wilt, not due to soil, not sure about pH, but ive turned off 2 softlights ~16w cfl's and left the brigher cfl's running..
i think the 2 additional lights made it too hot inside.. reached like 95*F peak at times... i have 2 24'' fluoros, 4 cfls @ ~25watts and 2 cfls (low end of specturum soft lights) which i turned off...
since i am growing in the tiny sink, when do you guys suggest i start flowering? soon? i'd say they have only 1.5 feet till they hit the bottom of the sink.. thanks
any comments appreciated..

as you can tell, theyre sitting fairly low due to my lst job which was kinda* a good idea i suppose since it saves some space.. and the other pic is just my setup of the sink lined with foil tape everywhere... u can see the 2 cfl's i turned off in the back of the 2nd pic.. i really wanna turn them on, but the heat it gives off could have been wat was causing my plants to wilt...

and soil, i use miraclegro moisture control, which i know everyone says its harsh on the plants but i decided to try anyway, and it works so far*
Miracle-Gro® Moisture Control® Potting Mix

soo..uhh.. what do u guys think? lol

looks good. I am using the same soil but I just transplanted my babys and removed the nutes from the soil and mixed in some peat moss.
how hot does it get under the sink with the doors closed? I have the same CFL light setup you have and it gets 90+ in my dresser grow cab. and now the tips of my babys are burnt! but I am not sure if it was the nutes or the heat from the lights. I have 4 26watt CPF which are 100watts each x4

oh 95f peak? same with me! what is your vent setup? do you just leave the doors open to vent? I just checked out under my sink and it does look like a real nice area to grow but I'm just worried about how I am going to vent out all the hot air. To bad I couldn't hook up the vent fan on the ceiling to the sink cabinet. does your bathroom get noticeably hotter?
also... how would you compare CFL vs 24" fluoro's in heat? it seems to me the CFL get real hot. and I am thinking of switching over to the fluro tube light fixtures and maybe run zero or 2 CFL lights. what do u think?
-
* under the sink grow *
I like it. I want to start a Indica grow soon, my plants are all majority Satavia and i swear it's like another world. . .
-
* under the sink grow *
hey thanks... i dont have a vent setup.. i just leave the door cracked so theres some flow...at night i leave it wide open so it drops to like 75... the plants are getting fairly big.. 2 of em are droopy and i think it could br cause i over watered... i would say the 25 tubes are cooler than the cfl's but i dont think the output it enough.. which is why i put both.. if your plant tips are getting toasted, then your lights could be too close.

any new info? love to hear it

ok so its been a little over a month and ive began to start lst'ing.. im not sure when to start flowering, but probably after i get the plant to 'circle' the pot.. i probably wont be transplanting.. also, is it necessary to feed the plants nutrients when its flowering time? theyre getting awfully big and starting to smell :) these are bagseeds btw... let me know what u guys think
-
* under the sink grow *
to me they look great for bagseed.
-
* under the sink grow *
your going to have to transplant. keep tying em down as low as they'll go.
they look pretty good, and good luck
