Getting high to go out in the cold...

I've done it a few times in the winter on the really cold days. It's a weird feeling, especially when it's windy. It feels like your high is protecting you from the cold somehow, as you can only feel the cold on your skin layer, nothing deeper. It's like the rest of your body is too hot for the cold to permeate past the top layer. You don't have the shivers because the cold isn't getting deep down, and if anyone's with you, they all have chattering teeth.

Yeah I'm baked and it's something I'm reflecting on :P

I get that too sometimes but then again I live in Northern California so our cold winters are about 40 degrees at the lowest....:hippy:

It's the total opposite for me. I SHIVER BAD... In warmth however, it makes me feel heaps euphoric and I notice I daze around smiling just enjoying the high - everything is so bubbly and perfect.

Gives me the shakes:jointsmile:

Lucky you, the winter here in souther ontario went down to about -25C a few times, which is around -15F. Damn pacific ocean :P

I hear you Hardcore Newbie! :thumbsup: Thankfully, winter looks like it is all done here (At least I hope! Snow in April BLOWS :( )

I shiver like crazy when I'm baked and it's cold out. It sucks, too, because I don't stop shivering for a long time.

yeah thats pretty cool! I remember a day I was going home in bike after school, me and my friend smoked hasch and that was so fucked up because that was the first snow storm of the season with almost 10 inch of snow.

The cold always seems to sober me up.

yeah true that.

when i smoke outside in the cold and then go inside a warm place, like my crib, or school i always get a warm boost & if im sitting down vegetating in class i feel myself getting higher and higher every second.

I don't mind cold temperatures as it is, and cannabis makes it all the easier. I usually insulate as necessary to compensate for the lack of vivid cold sensation.

yeah i dunno it was damn cold today we were on the beach and there was ice on the shoreline pretty gosh-diddily-darn cold.

I have the exact opposite effect, if im faded 65 degrees will have me shivering away. drinking is what kills the cold for me

i shiver and get completley frozen when baked out in the cold. i live in calgary, canada (where its cold most of the year haha) and i try my best to stay away from toking outdoors in the winter because i get so cold i tend to drop things (like my pipe).

i've found that there are two types of being stoned in the cold: either you feel all warm and good and dont notice the cold, or you get so frozen you start shaking. most of the time its the shaking for me.

When im high i cant feel the heat or the cold :wtf:

Used to do this when I had to wake early for school sometimes.. Waiting for the bus and of course to get high lol, but we found we could stay warmer if we smoked and then all sat close together. It was nice because I was able to get closer to a neighbor and later that year we ended up hookin up and keeping warm together. hehe

Nope not for me. Not even sitting in my garage with the heater blasting on me. Chicago winters suck.

personally i envy our winter-smokin friends. i live in fl and its ALWAYS hot, seriously, always. but when it gets to what, 40? it's so great to smoke. i'd love to be protected from real cold by it. i've experienced dutch summers stoned and that was great.

however, anybody in portland, or? i'm moving there in 8 months and am curious what the smoking community is like. i'm stoked about getting baked and running through all the gardens and ending up somehow at voodoo doughnut.

I'm in portland, finally starting to warm up around here... it was HAILING on me the other day at the dog park. Fucked.

I just start to sort of uncontrollably sway, and although I live in Virginia, we have some crazy ass cold winters. nothing like Michigan, where I used to live, but its still cold as a bitch.

Lol yeah I don't feel cold when I'm outside in the winter when I'm high but usually I make sure when I'm high I don't have to go out side because the coldness kills everything I feel in my high for real.

Yeah, a slight chill when I'm high can make me shiver like crazy and totally ruin my high. I hate it.

I shiver like a mfqr when it's cold and I'm high.

yeah im the same way. its like it has to be super hot when i blaze or else i just feel uncomfortable

I honestly expected more people to agree with me :P

I don't "love" being in the cold or anything, but if I've got the choice, it's way better to be high :P

I hate winter time cause its so damn cold that when I smoke before school all the cold kills it when I walk to class. Total Waste :( and I don't do as well in school when I'm not stoned
