How'd you get hooked on Mary?

It is grown in every part of the world, been used for thousands of years, known throughout human history.

My first experience was my sister, she got some from her friend that knew "Sureno 13 Mex Mafia x_X" and they smoked. My sister gave me a bowl and I kept it, but she later told my parents and they took it =o.

A year later, my best friend moved to a poorer community. I would call it Mexico. 7th grade summer, I remember smoking it with him and a bunch of other black people, these kids were stealing cars already! I remember being so high, I'd just chill back and watch what was going on. Hit the pipe until I couldn't anymore. After summer, I stopped.

Sometime later in 8th grade, started smoking again with my other good bud who lived nearby. We would pitch some money in and just have a smoke fest in my friend's garage. Those memories were so awesome, smoking that dirt crap was awesome. After half a year or so, I quit for another 3/4 year.

Freshman year, we'd smoke in this little forest near this park aka stoner's forest. Bums and shit used to sleep in there haha. One time, I was called down to the school office because I had missed a few periods. I was sitting on this couch comfortably and this cop asks me to pull my pants up. I didn't recognize the words and instinctly put my hands up like a cop saying freeze scumbag! "You know what I mean" and I pulled my pants up...close one.

After that, I found something very precious that I know I'd never be able to quit. Well, quit in periods of time, but in life? FUCK NO, I know I will always fall back in love if I ever leave her. My beloved Mary Jane.

Thank you for being my antidrug, entertainer, opening my mind to see different perspectives of life and so much more. I don't even smoke that much, but when I do....I want to nut on the spot. Been smokin for 8 years~

Great story. I've been smoking for 3 years. At first, like many people i assume, i was against it. Ignorant was I. So, once i researched it more, from this site :) I decided to give it a go, and what do you know? I love you mary jane!

Ah, let me begin my story. But first, I'm gonna pack my pipe again. Hopefully what follows this paragraph is legible.

Before I ever even came close to the opportunity to get high, I was researching. Could it really be as bad as they say? I asked myself. Hell, I know enough to not trust the government.

So I research. I find out it has medical benefits! I find out it isn't a gateway drug! I learn to much new information. I read things that had never been presented to me before, things omitted from the history the school systems teach us.

Then, one fateful night (after having seen Jackass Number 2 in the theater that very night), the subject came up. My friend mentioned it. I inquired as to the possibility of me sitting in on his friends' circle ala smoke.

Not long after, I find myself in a guy's basement. There is a bong on the coffee table, and large amounts of weed around. I begin to smile. Because I've never smoked anything before, it was suggested that I 'clear' the bong (with ice in the neck) after someone else's hit. It was a good idea.

I was coughing my ass off. They say a lot of people don't inhale the smoke on their first few times. Not me. I inhaled the shit out of the stuff, I wasn't going to fuck this up. So, a lot of coughing, a lot of drinking Lipton tea. After a while, I muster up the lungs to take a second hit. More of the same. Third hit, also more of the same.

Anyway, regardless of how many hits I took: I got blasted. It was great. The next session for me came a while later (maybe upwards to two weeks), and the events proceeded the same as before. Good times had by all.

The next time we hotboxed my friend's car with a glass pipe (killed my lungs).

The basement thing stopped happening, and I started primarily smoking with the original friend from the beginning of the story in his car. I still didn't have any weed of my own. We only used joints at that time; neither of us had anything else to use. A while later we buy pipes at a sweet headshop in town.

Finally, the day comes when I buy my first 1/8 of sweet mary jane. I believe the price was $60, and the stuff was very nice. Since the day I bought that 1/8, I've been stoned nearly every single night. I was hooked.

Hooked, like a goddamn fish on a line, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Camping session a while back....Some stoners were sitting in my tent and they told me to come in, each of them had a joint and one was passed to me....I got extremely high and loved it and have been doing it ever since.

The first time I ever smoked Mary Jane was when my brother sold me, I'm guessing a gram or two, for $2. :p I smoked it but don't remeber getting that high.

I do remeber the first time I did get high. I used my dads bong from the 70's with some friends. I didn't know how to use it, so after watching some friends do it, I did it. First pull I took, meh, was okay, second one I took, my lungs exploded! I was so bloody high and I remeber just slouching in this chair for a good hour. Only moving my eyes to talk.

After that feeling, I knew I loved it.

okay it all begins in 8th grade. Like many i was faithful to my parents wishes and was a very responsible child, i didn't drink, smoke, anything like that. Well one day my best buddy Jonathan (who had been curious for a while about MJ) buys a 1/8th. I was supremely nervous, and did NOT want to puff it at all. He kept pressuring me, and finally, one night, i took a puff from his spliff on our walk. It was a shitty puff which i didn't draw much or inhale as i was afraid. I eventually stopped talking to Jonathan as i did not want to be pressured into smoking. The next year in grade 9 i met 3 guys, 2 of which smoked weed. Again, they got weed, and tried to pressure me into smoking it. I refused to smoke and we basically stopped talking to each other. Now it's grade 10 and i meet this guy i used to be friends with, and play hockey with when i was 8 years old. I ran into him at a hockey tryout for a team, and we started hanging out, a lot. At this point we are pretty good friends and this time he pulls out a joint. I refuse him as well, but it didn't take long for him to get me to try it. I finally started toking on this joint one night in the park behind my house, these tokes were starting to feel like someone had lit my lungs on fire from the inside, and i was coughing uncontrollably to the point where i almost threw up. VERY quickly after we started our sesh i felt it coming on HARD. I got the frames, was ridiculously hungry, and everything was absolutely hilarious. I was tripping, hard. Then it started to become a weekly thing, every weekend we would smoke and do something, mainly on long journeys in the dead of night searching for food and other forms of entertainment. I am now out of high school, smoke everyday, and absolutely love it. I've been smoking everyday for about 5 1/2 months now, and am enjoying every second of it. MJ has helped my life in many ways, and i know i will continue to enjoy it hopefully for the rest of my life as it has given me so many great memories, with great people.

PS. the guy from the beginning of the story, i saw him 3 weeks ago, and we blazed for all the lost time.

I would go to some of my sister's parties and I tried it there. First time I didn't get high at all. Now the second time I was totally fucked up. It was ridiculous.

I was in high school when I began smoking. I had this reputation as a "Mary" at my school. At my school at least that meant someone who is so pure they are almost like the virgin Mary. It really annoyed me having people label me like that. I don't know why, it just really rubbed me the wrong way. My friend was a year behind me but had a reputation of being a complete bad girl. She drank, smoked, screwed, and got suspended at least once a month. I told her how I felt and she told me not to worry about it because I was who I was and other people's opinions didn't matter. I knew what she meant, but it didn't really stop the feeling. So one day I saw her in the hall and asked her if she could get me some weed to try. I gave her my money, and before the day was out she slipped up beside me at my locker and handed me what at first I thought was an empty cigarette pack until I felt a light rattle. I opened it and saw what looked like two fat, downright weird looking cigarettes inside. For a moment I was confused but then it dawned on me what they were. Joints. I stuffed the pack in my jacket pocket in a hurry after that, and thanked her for her help. She just smiled and winked at me before heading back down the hall. Just having them on me gave me a weird fluttery feeling. Partly paranoia at the thought of getting caught, but most of all excitement. I was doing something considered "bad" and was impatient to get home and try it. It seemed like it took my parents forever to go to bed that night. I lit some incense and read until I was sure they were asleep, and then I opened my window and lit the biggest of the two joints. The smoke was harsh on my throat and I had to cough into a pillow and hope that my parents wouldn't hear it and wake up. I managed to smoke it until it was almost all gone, but was disappointed because I wasn't feeling anything. I felt really foolish for wasting my money, and decided to take a bath. As I was running the water it hit me and I had to sit down on the toilet for a moment to steady myself. The feeling was amazing, almost euphoric and I absolutely loved it. Everything felt amplified somehow. I took my bath all the while really pleasantly buzzed. When I was done with that I went downstairs, ate some ice cream, then went back to my room and smoked the second joint. I was still coughing like mad, but it was easier to handle than the first, probably because my throat was still chilled from the ice cream. I turned off my lights and lay down and stared out the window at the stars, completely stoned off my ass, until I finally passed out. All in all, I think my first experience with weed was a good one. Really positive. I definitely don't regret it, and will more than likely be a life long toker.

it was pretty cool, 8th grade after school me and my friend korrey use to go to his house which was a right next to the school, his parents were at work and we would pinch his moms sack and use her bong to blaze... we did that once ever two weeks or so.
Eventually I invited him to my moms house to stay the night, he brought about a dime. me him my lil bro and my friend blazed it, i was about 14 my bro was 13, well we smoked about a third of that dime, then i went home to see my mom, i was so damn paranoid that she would know, i was really cached. but it was cool, and we walked over to mcdonnalds, it was about 4:00 PM or so. we stopped in a shed in the all on the way and blazed the rest, and i was so high, my short term memory was so fucked up that i couldnt remember what i was doing every ten seconds, (walking and laughing) and i would just laugh about it, and forget, and repeat... i got home about 8:00 PM... my mom told me to be home in an hour... but she went out on arrons and stuff and she didnt even trip about it, and my step sisters bf came over and we blazed two more bowls...
Soon I started going to korreys house every day and blaze... untill my brother snitched on me, he was 13 then, just a kid... and i stopped for a while.
Before i turned 15 i started blazin again, but it wasnt much just with a couple people i kind of knew for a while.... eventually someone gave me a 1-hitter and i got a lighter and i stashed it, my dad found it, he didnt say much (he took it for himself). He found a small amount sometime later in my pants while he was doing laundry, he got pretty pissed but i explained to him that it was old and he layed off.
I started hanging out with a more straight edge croud for a while and didnt blaze for about half a year, for no apparent reason... But then i met Chianne, she turned out to be the coolest person i ever met and she is to this day my best friend. I started to smoke with her again because i told her my past experiences and it so happened that she smoked and i smoked with her. more and more often in the future... I started hanging out with her brother who is a junior and has a bunch of friends that im really cool with now, Bob being one. Bobs the coolest guy ever, hes a fat guy (his nick name is Fat Bob) and hes down as hell. he will always have his friends back, and if you get him to laugh really hard it sounds like a chipmunk going crazy its so funny you just have to hear it. but i started hanging out with them about 6 months ago... but i blazed with Chianne for about 3 months before i started hanging out with them... so for about the past 3 years ive smoked on and off. but for the past 9 months ive smoked anywhere from once to twice a week for the first few, and almost every day now. now im 16, i own a few pipes and i almost always have weed. i do my best to make halfs last me 2 weeks but sometimes i need to get a nick or dime more..

about 6 months ago, i was actually against pot lol...

so one day my best friend comes up to me and says dude do u wanna try some weed? and i was like dude i cant do that... so my other friend is like ill give you some, the first time u dont get high. so he gives me some on thursday, i dont really feel it, then on friday i get FUCKED.

this is weird dude, this is WEIRD...i didnt like it, i hear good things, so i try it 2 more times....its nice, but idn if its worth the risk.

3 more times and im hooked like sardines in the package. i do it by myself a LOT and i hate smoking with a group...so good dude, amazing to think that a plant can make me feel this way.

Began in second year of University....first it was once every 2 weeks, then every week, then every day. Frankly, I think its a bad drug and it DOES lead to experimentation to other drugs (Salvia, dont ever touch that shit) but I've always maintained that if my grades didn't slip I didn't give a shit. And they haven't.

One thing that bugged me was this supposed bad short term memory from smoking too much. I found that the effects of booze on memory was just as great and if I wasn't going to stop boozing I won't stop smoking :) Then again, if any of you feel your mind is 'slipping', take a few days off. You'll be back in no time
