hey.
Pretty often around here (Toronto area) I see on the news a lot that many indoor growers are getting busted.
What are the main factors that lead to so many busts? Is it the size of the grow op? cuz im interested in starting my own small indoor grow.
Telling people is the # 1 reason people get nabbed.

Helicopters they fly over and use thermo cams theats howthey find most of them cause bud puts out alot of heat!!

You can beat the thermal images by using polyshield . . cool stuff its a film that blocks out heat signatures . .

There was a guy in a state near me who got busted with 287 plants, 5 rooms worth of equipment; why? because he threatened a couple who didnt pay for the weed he sold em' said he was gonna kill them over $300, the couple told the cops (about the threat, they didn't know he grew) and whoaalla! The fear of helicopter detection is small, he was busted for being an idiot! helicopters are for chasing criminals, not invading peoples privacy block by block.
can helecopters detect a 400 watter in a closet in ur basement or is this mainly for the people using a couple of 1000 watters with biiig growrooms?

"they" no longer are allowed to use infrered for "finding" grow ops....its alittle something called invasion of privacy, atleast in the states. And yes buds and potplants in general retain massive amounts of energy/heat. Thats why they use it over in the middle east as thermal walls. But we just burn it down.
I honestly don't believe in that infrared shit and anyone that does is crazy. The only time I can really seeing that being useful is if they are searching for a grow factory. A simple set-up designed for personal purposes should not have problems with a freggin' thermal device.

I've heard this too many times... Does the actual plant give off heat??? I always thought it was the lights they look for... And if they do why don't the DEA or the pot patrol use infared vision to find plants outside? I only hear about grow houses getting caught usually not outdoors unless its like a feild.Quote:

Pay your bill on time. Not to mention, okay I am, the bill doesn't even increase that much for the average home grower. I had a fridge go bad on me that increased it much more....believe it or not, there was no police standing at my door with a warrant. They might investigate if you aren't paying your bills or if they already have a warrant over some other evidence, I believe.Quote:
