HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - A judge who had a secondary role in the recent Anna Nicole Smith proceedings was charged with smoking marijuana in a city park, police said Monday.

Lawrence Korda was smoking marijuana while sitting under a tree Sunday, police said. Three officers who were training there saw Korda and field-tested the cigarette, said Capt. Tony Rode, a police spokesman.

The judge was not arrested. He was given a misdemeanor citation to appear in court.

â??Judge Korda was not given special treatment because of his status as a circuit court judge,â?� Rode said. â??He was provided with a notice to appear. Thatâ??s exactly what 99 percent of other offenders would have been given for this type of offense.â?�

A message left by The Associated Press at the judgeâ??s chambers after hours Monday was not immediately returned.

BULL FUCKEN SHIT! He didn't get special treatment? I have not heard of one person in Florida who got caught with any amount of pot get a paper to appear in court. Everyone gets taken to jail. My buddy just got arrested a few weeks back for 0.5 gram and he spent the night in jail.

ehhh.. That's Hollywood Florida for ya!. Hollywood judges and cops don't really care for weed. Shit, I've seen some of them smoke off duty. They care for bigger crimes and bigger drugs.

like if they pull you over and u admit to having a nick or a dime and you aren't mouthing off and being a Jackass, they'll either throw it away, give it back, and if its good they'll sometimes keep it and scare you by being mean. and of course give you a ticket for whatever they pulled you over to begin with.

but, the story goes that they smelt it and followed the smell in a park.
They prolly thought it was some dumbass kid smoking in public and were prolly going to fuck with him to make sure he straightens up and keeps his smoke to himself in the future.

thats how hollywood cops are. they arent mean, and they arent nice.

lol. I live in Hollywood Florida and have been caught with 'pot' many times.

Everytimes its been less than a qtr, i've just gotten a ticket.
258 dollars to be exact.
more than a qtr and the cop might arrest you..
anything more than 20 grams is a whole nother ball park.

thats the city that has racist and VERY mean cops.

Yea, I lived in Florida, they have some of the worst drug laws out of any state. However we got caught smoking by the FWC and they didn't do a god damn thing. They made us snuff out our blunt and made sure all our fish were legal. Once they were gone we sparked it back up. I don't know how they found us, we were ass deep in the everglades in my buddys jon boat.

i also lived in florida, for many years..in broward county i find the cops much more cool then dade..and i think the cops there are about as prejudiced as texas....

anyway, back to the post...i am not surprised..everyone smokes weed..it is like that saying about how one vote counts..if all these jackasses who hide that they smoke helped do something about it, we could sure make some headway....

this wasnt Judge Larry Seidlin (spel chek) that we all saw on TV and was shooting for his own TV reality judge show this, I believe, was the 2nd judge in the case that did not open the court room to reporters, and it wasnt about her bodies disposition.
