i'm quite concerned that people are being advised to use foil when making bongs and pipes. DON'T! it is a major contributor in giving you altzhiehmers and it makes white spots on your lungs :eek: . try using the metal casing from those small 'tea light' candles instead. it's more solid, and doesn't give off carcenogenic fumes.
or for the leftover food u wanna put in the fridge.
The best thing is a gause in a chillum, ther not that hard to make.

well i am almost sure that if you use a bic lighter and not a torch, the foil doesnt get hot enough to waste away your lungs, so you will be safe

I'm glad someone felt the responsibility of informing others about the harmful effects of smoking with foil. I feel therefore, it is my responsibility to caution everyone to avoid using copper in the assembly of homemade smoking devices. I don't remember the exact damage it does to you, but speaking from personal experience, it fucks up your lungs.
As tempting as the plumbing aisle of your local hardware store is, do not use copper fitting or pipes! Steel, stainless if available works best, but as a general rule if it is colored, stay away.

Aluminium cans are still aluminium, still the same element. Try looking for steel cans. Or just buy gauzes. They're really cheap. Try an online shop if you can't get them any other way.Quote:

i heard you could get screens out of sinks so I popped one off and instead of a screen I found this sweet as little bowl shaped stainless steel filter. Fits perfectly into all 20 oz Dew bottles without falling in. So I've never had to use foil and I never wanted to cus I always thought it was bad for you.

Currently, all aluminum manufactured for the public domain is anonized. They did this to remove the alzheimers effect. Unless you're using thirty year old pure aluminum foil, you're pretty safe. Think about it: it's known that aluminum consumption can augment or cause alzheimers, do you think they'd be selling drinks in it? No, of course not. They stopped using pure aluminum when a shitload of WWII vets got alzheimers from only being able to drink from a can because the water wasn't safe. I forget the chemical composition, but it's basically an alloy now.
go to your parents tools and just get a socket and clean it really good (after that if you have it use sand paper) then clean it again and burn it....there you go you have a bowl....then take a pen tip (not the ink thing....like the metal ends that come on some that are steel) and stick it in the hole.

Not all aluminum is anodized. That's an expensive process and Al foil is NOT treated like that!!!
Tea-light candle tins as far as I am aware are also aluminum and should be avoided.
