Just got a grinder, some followup questions

Well i got a nice metalic grinder with a kief catcher today, there's a yingyang simbol in the top, wanst my preferance but hey whatever gets the weed grinded right? Anyway, so i ground up about .4 of some green, and looked at the kief catcher, and there was a nice thin layer of crystals on the bottom.

question 1 : I was wondering, how much kief should my friend and i collect before we can get a good kief experience, by smoking it in a bowl. If we ground up a whole eighth, would that be enough kief to get my friend and i both messed up on kief?

question 2 : How many hits of kief should we each take? Niether of us have done kief before, but we've been smoking daily for about 5 months. One hit each? More?

question 3 : Do we need a kief press to smoke the kief out of a basic bowl? If i can do it without a kief press, i'd prefer to since i'm under age and it was hard enough to just buy a grinder. So can i just smoke kief out of a bowl without a kief press? Or is the press completely necessary?

i have the exact same buster!

1) id wait til its pretty full man, once you start hitting that shit you wont want to stop, so make sure you have a decent amount.

2)as many as you want, until you get fucking baked

3) you could press it, but it isnt mandatory, either way youll get stoned

what u do get a good amount of keif pack up just a litle bit of chunky bud at the bottom then pack the keif on top of the bud so it doesent suck thru and enjoy and a couple hits off some keif will get you fellen mighty good

how much did it run you?

i got mine for 40, i dont really use it much anymore, its way to heavy and clunky

like I said I got it for 15 bucks at a gas station but I saw another one that looked the same at my local head shop and it was almost 30 if I remember correctly

ok, i have a tip that will change your grinding forever. it literally 2x-3x the ammount of kief I get. buy a roll of duct tape. thats it. then, after you grind it up, slam the duct tape and grinder together (hold the lid on, duh) for about 30 seconds. this knocks off much more kief and will tripple your production.

And I thought I couldn't understond it because I was baked.

it makes perfect sense....except for the ductape bit. he means just hit it with somethin(i use my hand) to make more keif fall through the screen

i understood, its just like using a shaker. he, used the ductape because he probably hit it hard and didnt want to hurt his hand

see i never found a good use for a grinder, why can i just pack a FAT bowl with nugs? works for me lol... same shit with jays, a bit more difficult but sall good. i take my time anyways :D
