The Gathering at THE PLATEAU

So, I was idly scanning the boards, and generally getting myself psychologically acquainted with y'all :D...It's something that I like to do - not because I'm wierd or anything (although, I am wierd lol), but because I am a kind of people-watcher, I guess...:rolleyes:...bit of a wanna be psychoanalysist lmao...I dunno, anyways, to the point.

I think that, generally, we are all a bit pissed off, someway or another, with our lives...or some aspect of it, at least :)
So, imagine if there was a place where everything was cool.
This place would be free from all drug prohibition laws, and all worries would be instantly forgotten as soon as you crossed the threshold.
There would be an abundance of free grass, of the utmost quality - the best ever. There would be an abundance of other drugs available, too (but nothing silly, like Heroin and shit). All of it was free and unlimited.
This place would have many facets to it - kinda like different themed rooms and arenas, for music, chilling, and experience.. Rooms for debate and argument, rooms devoted to aural stimulation and spiritual exploration.
And the whole place would be like a sanctuary from your reality, without any animosity or judgement.

This place would be called - THE PLATEAU :D

The only rule is that, in order to be allowed in, you have to bring something to the party.

The thing that you bring doesn't have to be anything material, so I'm not taking about having to bring a cake, or a bag of weed...I'm talking about that thing being like a skill, or a quality about YOU, that others would find interesting, or usefull, or inspiring....:cool:

What would you be able to bring?

[B]I would like to be granted access to The Gathering, at THE PLATEAU.
I can engage in deep conversation about almost any topic, and am willing to learn and explore anybodys theories, whilst able to inject a modicum of humour and wit.
I can also do a bit of DJing, and like mixing in a kind of journey style - taking the listeners on a trip of musical and neural excursion.
I'm a good listener to peoples problems, and can offer understanding and advice to a great many senarios.
I like to feed off of other peoples enthusiasm :D

i can grace you all with music from my guitar, and if you dont like rock music i can play nice trippy solos, and if guitars arent allowed there, i will bring dip, but no chips....chips are fucking expensive...3.50 for a big bag...damn...

Everything that you need, is miraculously provided...and anything is allowed...including guitars, dude :)

If allowed access to the Plateau, i would bring the gifts of kindness, compassion, and baking. I love to cook and feed people. Baking is my favorite pastime. I'm a great listener and have the rare ability to keep a secret! LOL I would like to apply for a position as a group roller, I can roll a spliff easier than snapping my fingers and would enjoy passing on this skill :rolleyes:

Damn, no shortage of imaginative people here! I wasn't quite expecting this (obviously I'm new here); this is a really fun forum. Add me to the list of guitar players. Hey, we need a bass!

If I could contribute anything, it'd be my experiences, like in that movie where somebody invented a machine which would record memories, and then others could play them back; actually experience them. You guys could see Jimi Hendrix play, go to Woodstock (no, I mean the real one), smash up a motorcycle, parachute, scuba dive, sail in the ocean, do acid, be in love so much nothing else matters, etc. I'd include all the mistakes I've made too, so you could all have a good laugh, and avoid doing some of the totally stupid things I have.

I hope there'd be enough freedom there to be challenged once in a while; I've found that life isn't so interesting if you're always provided with whatever you want. We need contrast in order to appreciate the good things, I think. You may not like miserable weather, pain, etc., but I believe that if everything's perfect all the time, the result is boredom. Just one old guys opinion.

However, I'd be willing to try a massive overdose of pleasure, just to see how much I could still handle. (What do you say, Rachel?)

I would love to go to this dream land and get to meet all you wonderful people and have wonderful conversations about the good things in life...Even if it was only for a month,week,or even a day I would have a great time just forgetting about all the bad stuff in this world kickin back with the people who understand.
