weird thing happened. Its normal?
Hi
Please excuse my english I will do my best to make myself understood
I have a plant its 1 month old its about 6 inch tall and 8 inch wide
SInce the 2th week I noticed at the nodes 2 little things like a "V" where I understood it will grow the pistils (if it's a female)
The plant is still in 18/6 light but I noticed that the little V things at the nodes (specially the nodes at the bottom of the plant) are starting to die. I mean they are half brown and dry if I can say so.
I dont have a camera..sorry but I found this pic on the internet so It will explain the problem better
Please let me know if it is normal
Thanks

Just made measurements..plant is 9 inch tall and 11 inch wide..8 nodes

try reading around the FAQ section they got good pics.
here are two pics from that section
the "V" is referring to the two pistils each Calyx grows.
What the arrows in your picture are pointing at are called "stipules"
see picture,
weird thing happened. Its normal?
Yes..the stipules at the 1st and second node of the plant is starting to go brown, dry and die
Now is starting the 3th node as the plant goes bigger
Its normal?

i know with my older plants those things have dried up and turned brown. those things don't actually turn into calyxes, so i don't think it is a problem if they die. i wouldn't worry about it.

yeh those things arent really important, mine always stay flat against the stem until it flowers then they seem to poke out, i dont think you need to worry...;) good luck...

Thank you guys for helping me out
I learn as i grow..cause im first time grower
Now I am facing with another problem..I dont know if I should opened a new post but I will try to explain here
OK so I repotted the plant 48 hours ago into a 6 gallon pot
After the repotting the leaves are down. I thought it must be from the stress..but I noticed the leaves aren't all green..I mean they have some light green on the stems.
I learned this is a sign of lack of nutes. OK i have nutes but when I repotted 48 hours ago i watered the soil until it drained at the bottom of the pot through the holes (new soil was dried)
Now my main question is..should I have to give nutrients to the plant (since the leaves has light green on the stems) now? or wait a few more days to avoid overwatering that would make the problem worse (leaves to go down much worse)
And one more thing i noticed..the leaves seem to be "dry"
I managed to take some pics
Thank you

P.S. the nutes i have is N-6%; P-3%; K-6%..the best i found here

When you X-planted it, did you "water it in" heavily to the new container? It could just be a symptom of that. In that case, just wait a long time before watering/feeding. An additional fan might help "dry it out" too
The yellowing is not necessarily a nute deficiency, could be a light issue (not enough) - Although if it hasn't been fed yet, a little N can go a long way. Perhaps foliar feeding it a high N fert so you don't have to water it down anymore? How much light and how far away from the plant is it?
weird thing happened. Its normal?
Yes..when repotted the new soil was watered alot
Thats why, when i found that the plant needs some ferts, I asked if I can water again so soon. Dont want to overwater
And the leaves arent yellowing..is from the 2700k light i have on the sides the plant
And I have 85W (6500k) bulb on top of the plant at 1 inch and 2 26W (2700k) bulbs on the sides of the plant
Well..afterall good news..i gave nutes to the plant (even it was watered 48hours before nutes) AND THE PLANT LEAVES ARE UP NOW..looking more healty
Bad thing is that the light green near the stems of the leaver still is..but its just 24 hours after the nutes
Marry Christmas to all !!!
