so, been talkin to my rents, and they decided taht for the holidays, my birthday, and from other family, there all gona chip in and get me 2 KICKER l7 12 inch subwoofers for my ford ranger, ive gotta get an amp, and pretty muche verything else, but w/e, cant wait, thoes subs are so nice.

that much bass gets very old.
I got some subs for xmas a couple years ago. Just 2 crappy 12" duals and a 200 watt amp that didn't push it for shit. I sold those and got a single 15" kicker comp that sounded so much better than those last 2. I wish I had a bigger amp cuz it woulda sounded much better...but then I got a mustang and didn't feel like building a custom box for the tiny trunk and just sold everything and used the money for go fast mods lol.
i recently got rid of my 3 Comp VR 12's and 3 Kicker Impulse amps that i had in my van. i was metering at about 149-151 dB. i'm currently looking to get 2 or 3 L7s eventually. what are you running yours with and what size/port tuning on the box? a lot of people think SPL is dumb and "all that bass sounds like shit/isn't needed" but its a hobby just like anything else that some people are into and some people aren't. and if you set it up right, it can sound pretty good.

bridge those subs...to 1 ohm...... and bass your head off... I love that shit.
that amp is .25 ohm stable....
I have a Wal * Mart / Curcuit City system in my van... 2 Pioneer 10" "I like the hard hit" of the 10's for rock and roll and the 10's hit hard like a firework with 400 watts behind them... I got 4 6x9's and 2 6" rounds and 4 tweeters... I have Jensen amps,don't knock em till you try em... I have an old Alpine head unit,the best clarity in the tweets and mid range IMO...
i got two 15 l7s hooked to a 3000rms amp. shit rattles my roof. good choice man i'll never buy anything else. have fun wid em.
