She's a well-educated adult, and I think she's wise not to take that risk. I'm more than a year and a half away from taking my first medical board exams--and 3 1/2 years away from graduating. And as crazy as it may sound to a young person, I won't risk smoking weed even now. Haven't since early last August before I began school when Bess had the last of her medical mj. It wouldn't do my husband's medical license or reputation any good to have a wife who took that risk. And it's important to me as someone who's going to take an oath to be ethical and beneficial in my practice of medicine to be completely above reproach about doing anything illegal, even while I'm in school.
Your mom's just doing the same thing. And someday, you'll admire her for that. Try and give her a break, OK?
