Forum security Am i gonna get BUSTED?

Well i know that any one can access this site, im not very concerned but the questions have been raised in my head. For growing atleast. I know that no one is gonna get busted for comming on here and sayin they smoke, but growing is in a completely different park. My question is to the moderators, what shouldn't we talk about to help confine ourselves and keep under the radar. I have herd of ppl being watched on here... not sure if its possible to track some one's ip adress but the internet can be a sticky web leaving many traces to your home, and having pictures of your grow is evidence enough you have somethin goin on. Im just lookin for the "attitude" moderators have twards this subject becuase i know they know best on there site. thnx guys

there was this one website where about 100+ people got busted so WATCH OUT, that wasnt too long aog either..and it was a popular site SO WATCH OUT

The site he was talking about is overgrow I believe, and the reason it got shut down was cause it was linked to an actual seedbank or something. I'm pretty sure the servers for this site are located outside the US somewhere the feds cant subpoena the server records or anything. Just make sure you post no ID'ing info or slip up and let identifying information through in the pics you post. They have bigger things to worry about than a person growing a few plants and posting pics of it. I mean, if you are posting pics of a giant commercial grow, you might draw some attention, but its still a long road from pics on the internet to jail.

If your worried, just don't post info about a grow, the only reason I'm posting about one is because its not actually mine and is going on somewhere far away from where I post pics from :)

Its very simple, if you do want to post a log, talk about everything in the first person. For example, Monty is installing ten 1000'ws, Monty finds it hard to keep temperatures under control, Monty needs information about something. The authorities can find out who you are in a second, but the question you should be asking is why would they want too, if they have no reason to believe you have a huge operation directly connected to you, they won't need to find out who you are. Fuck, it wouldn't be hard for some with tech expertise to find out your ip, your domain details and from there, probaly alot more. Its all about context. If you've given authorities enough reason to want to find out more about you, your fucked anyway.

Overgrow had a log system where when someone posted or connected to the site, the details of that connection would be stored temporarily and then automatically deleted after the connection had been terminated.

It would be nice if we had that.

as well some people on here have given me enough info to figure out (if i wanted) who they are. and some of em got big ops.

but really in canada. the cops might even support privet ops. i mean cuz all the problems with ops are the big ones with gangs.

in fact if i was ever to get caught i would be all like
