nah,, this bowl doent taste like wood, its extremely resonated, and it taste almost sweet, and thats all the time, its weird tho...i donno, i got it from my freind for 20$, its a very very nicely hand carved bowl, and the wood is extremely strong, i coulodnt break that bowl if i tried, well with a saw i could,,, but its unusual, he never smoked out of it, it always sat locked away in abbow, he always smoked out of cans and bottles, so i asked him if i could buy it and he said yeh,, i then asked him why he didnt smoke out of it and he said somethin about it being made in south america by some native people and they put a curse?? on it,, i dont know how truthful that story is but he never smoked out of it, so it may be? i donno
