Why are there no moderates in cable news?

Bill O'reilly is an extreme right-wing tool. Keith Olbermann is an extreme left-wing tool. Both sides put forth very rigid, black & white, no compromising, viewpoints of politics and the world. It's all or nothing for people like that.

But the real world doesn't work that way. The real world is not black & white, left and right, good and evil, ying and yang. Reality is in between the two extremes. It is shades of gray. Reality is a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. This is why I simply cannot give my support to either the republicans or the democrats. Because they are both wrong.

It's sad that there is only one single Independent in all of congress. It's sad that we are constantly being forced to choose between one extreme or the other. And it's sad that the media does nothing but endlessly encourage those kinds of flawed debates.

Oreilly isnt Right leaning..hes a moderate for sure..but if you want a moderate station..your best best is probably some Local Station...as there isnt any "moderate" Major News Networks.

Yes the Media does try to influence Elections..CNN got ripped a new Hole after they Declared Gore the Winner of the Presidential Election even while the Polls in the West Coast were still open. They even declared Gore the winner of Florida before the polls closed there, and we all know Bush ended up winning Florida

Probably because the most of the people who set around watching cable news are political extemist of one type or another. But oreily a moderate? Damn, you must be a true nut if he seems moderate.

I don't think Bush won Florida. I think the Supreme Court won Florida. Heh.

Yeah, no kidding. I've never seen O'reilly defend anything the left has ever said. They're not always correct, but c'mon, they're not always wrong either.

That's classic republican thinking, that deaths of americans only matter if they're on tv. That's why they fear a free press so much, the bodies aren't hard to find. Arlington is full of them, so you to make sure no one looks.

There's a difference between going to the cemetary to honor the dead and showing an Insurgent video firing sniper rounds into the faces of human beings on national public television.

A big difference.

Why shouldn't the national public see war? They are the ones who make it all possible. The government can only declare a war, but it's the people who provide soldiers and support them, with weapons & ammunition, with food and medical care, with money, and with encouragement.

We send friends and family off to war with hugs and kisses. We assure them that we love them and that we are proud of them. We tell them how special they are. We try to build up their morale, and assure them they are doing a good thing.

We should all see what the fuck is going on.
