Its not burning down

So, I'm fairly new at hand rolling joints, usually use a machine which makes very long, thin, tight joints. I picked up an 1/8 recently for the weekend, so I'm looking to smoke all this shit. I rolled first joint, and lit up, and it went out straight away, tried toking off it, but no matter how fucking hard I sucked, it was like nothing was coming out. The cherry kept going out. I tried twice more, same thing happend. Third time I stupidly tried putting air holes in the fucking joint not realizing that it would make suction even worse. I can't figure out why this isn't burning down, the skunk seems dry enough and crumbles easy, can suck through the joint pretty well when its not lit. Anyone have any suggestion what to do?

you are probably rolling them too tight
make them fatter and put more weed in
and dont make it too incredibly tight because you can do that with the rollers

Dont use long joints, pack fat shorter joints. If you have long papers fold them at the end like this:

(I used a short rolling paper for the picture, so it looks a little short)

if you dont know how to hand roll, pre roll the paper around a pencil or a pen or something, then pack it to your desired density.

Well I figured out the weed was wet, apparently alot of dealers wet the stuff to add weight. After mixing it with some baccy, which I fucking hate doing, it burnt down nicely. I hear what your saying about long thin joints being shit. I was knocked down head on about half way through so the left over half was like a chore to smoke. Fat, cone shaped joint are my next goal.

I disagree, I like longer, thinner joints because I can get them to burn longer. Also sometimes its hard to keep all the weed burning on a fatty and then perfectly good weed drops off the end. I make them about the same size as a cigarette but not quite as firm.

yeah grind the weed up nice, if u wanna mix it with baccy its better, it tokes better, and dont pack it too tight, i had that problem back in the day

those rollers suck ass, i suggest if you cant roll, wrap at joint around a bic pen or pen of somesort, stuff the weed down into the premade tube you rolled around then pen., and leave some space to slide a roach in on one side and boom you got a nice smokable joint that is perfectly round and stuffed with goodness

I've never had a problem with rolling machines. Empty some of the shit into the pit, close the flaps, roll a bit, insert paper, lick, roll more, open, perfect joint, even if it is long and thin, it really beats fucking around with pencils and spilling half the joint.

When I first started with the roller machines I'd pack it too tightly as well, and wonder why i was only slightly buzzed. With the rolling machines, when you first put the bud in the canvas, just pull gently, and you should be ok.

And before I got my roller, I used to use a chopstick, a pen is too thick imo.
