Confused: Bong water has thc in it?
Disappointingly, waterpipes performed uniformly worse than the unfiltered joint. The least bad waterpipe, the bong, produced 30% more tar per cannabinoids than the unfiltered joint. Ironically, the pipe with the electric mixer scored by far the worst of any device. This suggests that water filtration is actually counterproductive, apparently because water tends to absorb THC more readily than noxious tars. Like the waterpipes, the cigarette filter also performed worse than the unfiltered joint, by about 30%. Researchers speculate this is because cannabinoids are exceptionally sticky and adhere to other solids. Hence, any filtration system that picks up particulates is likely also to screen out cannabinoids. - (http://rockscillc.com/)
 does this mean you can get high drinking bong water?

I'm not about to find out. Bongs still cool the smoke off, allowing you to take bigger rips more easily, so maybe it balances itself out?

If anyone is stupid enough to try drinking bong water to get high be my guest.
And i dont belive it, THC doesnt disolve readily in water... only fat/oil/alcohol.
Maybe a very small amount of THC is filtered, but not that much.
A joint has the highest THC transfer rate.

While I love the work that NORML/MAPS has done in the field of marijuana research (I didn't check the link, but that's pretty much word for word of the report they released), they have left out some clue words that every single scientist should be able to say in their sleep. However, they also do include words and phrases that allude to the test being somewhat less than 100% accurate.
First, you have to consider the condition. They used a very low-grade cannabis, and it is very possible that this could have affected test results.
Second, I don't believe they did take into account the amount of smoke lost through the process of smoking with joints. Whereas a bong has little to no smoke not being taken into the lungs, this isn't true of joints. Ya see my point?
Third, there was only one test done, and even still it was little more than conclusive. What they didn't tell you they meant was that that test proved true for the conditions they were using. Just because one time something happened a certain way does not make that the rule.
Ya gotta take every report you read, from both sides, with a grain of salt.
