Err, this is an interesting way for me to make a 1st post... I tried to copy a scratched disc that kept jumping during play. I thought I damaged it and it wasn't my personal property. I searched the web for tricks; toothpaste, detergent, rubbing it up a brick wall but all failed..
In the end I bought a DiscDr for £30 which was quite expensive. It repaired the damaged disk in minutes and I was then able to copy it and give the owner an unscratched disc in return. I've had it over a year and only used it around 6 times, but if you know people who have scratched discs u can provide a service and make ur money back as companies do..
