My plants are on day 25 of 12/12, & today I mistakenly turned lights on a half hour early, quickly turned them off.
Should I excpect a problem? hermies?
Will keep an eye on them:confused:

I think you would have been better off keeping the lights on and extending it an extra half hour at the end. I don't think them coming on an extra half hour early would harm them even if you didn't give them a full twelve hours of light that day. Since they were in darkness, and you turned on the light, and then returned them back to the darkness stage, hermie is a possibility. I don't know if doing it one time will bring you seeds though. Good Luck.
 I agree with PassThatShit. If it was only a half hour early, I would've just left them on. Hey, the sun rose early that day. No prob! :) I hope you don't end up with any hermies from that. Defintely keep an eye on them tho. You can keep them pretty much under control if you keep on top of it. Good luck.

Hey Green Frog, LOL
You're the first one to call me Pass That Shit. Most people just say "Pass That" cause I guess they don't want to curse
GreenFrog is right on, the sun doesn't rise and fall at the same time everyday.
messing up with timer and sun ON and OFF could cause production of hermies? even if u messing up with clone, that is cut from female mother plant?
how come sex of the plant could be affected by light?
sometimes i open my door 15min early and clean the bulb, reflector, mylar and such and leave the door open until the light comes on water her and close it up no problems here
Cutting back on the dark period is not the problem. They don't need a full 12 hours of darkness to flower properly. The problem is when there's a light leak during the duration of the dark period. If you don't want ANY seeds, keep the growing room pitch black while the light is off. I even put tape on my electric heater just to cover the glow for the LED's. The darker, the better.
