Not so much racist as he is probably intimidated by them... Racist would be if he called them N-words and made nasty jokes and such. Believe me. I know the difference.

racist?
Racism has nothing to do with calling black people the dreaded 'N-word' racism is prejudice based on skin colour/beliefs
if calling someone a nigga is racist then all those MC's that say it in between every fuckin sentence would be racist, which wouldn't really make sense since they're black anyway. Either way, its just a word. And jokes are jokes, I've heard jokes where animals can speak, does it make it true?
FUK ME black comedians have made a profession out of racist jokes, the more we keep niggling and restricting certain individuals to say certain things while others can say it loud and proud, the more hate/discrimination and misunderstanding theres gonna be, it's counter-productive, it actually spreads the gap between races rather than bring them closer together.
and your mate is technically being racist but not in the white supremiscist, skinhead nazi way your thinking, just like a woman living in the 1800's, he's scared of them, but technically you're racist aswell, for even noticing that there were black people at the concert. The point is.....................
RACISM IS BOLLOX but you got to live with it and accept that asians are different from whites and whites are different from black and so on and so on and so on, I could go on about this all day BUT I need pizza.

racist?
Anytime you refer to one person or a group of ppl by the color of their skin, you are making a racist comment. Plain and simple.
-
racist?
Those were prejudice remarks.
prej·u·dice ( P ) Pronunciation Key (prj-ds)
n.
An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.
A racist shows contempt purley based on color. I think your friend is just small midwestrern town minded.
And since when did refering to a people by the race that they are become a racist comment. What's next are you going to say that calling a woman "a woman" a sexist comment.

racist?
African American is the correct term, not a "black person". And a woman is a gender, Einstein, not a race! You said it youself, a racist shows contempt for someone's color so pick an argument and stick with it or shut up.
