we've all gone thru the 'narc routine'...it's part of this "underground culture" the u.s. government has forced on us. it passes with time and with getting to know other members. years ago when i 1st came online and found the old hbc site with a message board (which was wide open for hacking and html tricks then) everyone coming in was suspect and grilled visciously...ya just need a thick skin to get thru it.
and yes, that ignore button works great...
del.. is right, methinks.. I don't wanna sound patronising but when people get to know you a bit more then you wont find this shit happening.. Generally I find alot of the people who hang in chat aren't always the same people who I talk to on the message boards so I talk to new people whenever I happen to go in there.. But if it makes you feel any better, I trust you lol :)
