It's about 12 days old 24/0 Light cycle under 4 CFLs.
Just yesterday I noticed the stems starting to turn a purplish-ish color and growth from the top of the bottom node.
I was wondering what is going on, is it flowering too early?
And what are my options from here?

What you see there is normal growth.
Those tiny tufts in the petiole crotch will become branches in good time.
The reddening of the stems can be strain specific, but it can also indicate a low PH.
What you need now is patience.
While you are waiting, I suggest you use the time to look into the first link in my signature.

Purple stems can also be a sign of low magnesium. Epsom salts will fix that problem. I mix them in at 1 tsp per gal of water and give it to them about once every four to six weeks or if I see purple stems.
This is true.
It could also signal Phosphorus deficiency.
However, actual deficiencies in soil are quite rare.
(Almost non-existent with seedlings)
And, if either is caused by a lockout. (From low PH for instance.)
Adding more will not help.
First, control the PH, then see if she lacks anything.

What type of soil are you using? PH? I don't see an issue, but I will mention that seedlings started under 24/0 are likely to be male. PLants need a rest in order to grow and flourish. I never use 24/0, never! If I were growing clones, then maybe I could see it, but I find that 16/8 works best for seedlings...It allows stronger root development, and raises the chance of a seedling being female.Quote:

i veg all my plants under 24 hours light for the first few weeks. (we all do things slightly different)

The Dark period is when the roots flourish. With no dark period you are sacrificing stronger roots, for more foliage, which will not produce as well due to lack of larger root mass. No one with true hortilcultural or agricultural expertise grows anything in 24 hours of light.
I do, and the roots seem to do fine, this is just tel they are 12-14 inches tall. Then flower 12 and 12.
Plants are extremely similar to Humans. The Vitamins we take are made from the same ingredients as plant nutrients. You try standing for days in heat with the lights on and see what happens to your body.
We always teach not to stress your plants. Not allowing plants to rest is stressing them. Period!
I said people that are experts. LOL If you are arguing for 24/0 photo period; You are no expert. Call your county agent and see what he thinks about you growing your tomatoes under 24 hours of light.

It's a small deal.
Would they be happier with some rest?
Perhaps.
Bigger? Fatter? Another inch? Another gram?
Maybe.
Maybe not.
I did raise six 'lings at 24:0 alongside a half dozen at 16:8.
Since I personally found no significant advantage to 24:0, and I'm cheap, I use 16:8.
Same growth, same gender ratio, less expense.
A no-brainer for me. :)
