LED First Grow. Accapulco Gold
Hi Everybody.
First timer here jumping into a recorded journal one-month into Operation: "Hurry The Hell Up, Green Stuff, so I can have some green stuff."
So, there's nothing real special going on in my tent, other than the AMAZING LED that's in there. I'm proud of it, because I seem to have picked the right one out of the cornucopia on the web. I think it is mainly to do for the voracious plant within.
This is Curly, and she's one-month from seed. Nice light, right?

Those were old pics. They seem old every day haha. Also, I need an opinion on when cloning can start. I'm thinkin' another week or twoish.

It's from Hydro Grow.
Two things that set them apart for me were:
1. Whenever their technology advances and their lights are overhauled with the newest cutting edge tech, they make that piece of tech available so you can install it yourself, if you want.
This stuff gets upgraded almost like computers do.
2. Something about the lenses. I've forgot now haha. All I know is lenses make light better, and this case is no different. Each light has a little convex lense sticking out about half-an-inch. I think it's working...
Good luck, guy!

Looking good there. Can you give us some pictures of the light itself too ?
I think your plant is stretching a little bit too much. Its good to keep the light as close as you can without bleaching it.
Try to keep the nodes (distance between the sets of leaves on the stem) at about an inch. this will keep the plant short and bushy with plenty of areas where bud will develop.
If they get too tall with large areas between the nodes the harvest will be affected as there is too much empty space. Also the shorter the plant the better the light can penetrate to the
lower branches. I had trouble with this in my last grow. Firstly, the grow tent was overcrowded and the plants started to fight for the light, this meant lots of stretching over each other.
Two of the strongest plants took over the room and I lost the other 6, I had to kill them off. This grow I will only have 4 plants in the room. This should be perfect.
So anyway, good grow, but keep an eye on the node lengths and you should be fine.
I'll be dropping by to see how things go. Good to see a fellow LED grower :)
Take Care

I called the light guy about spacing after I had it pretty close (around 6-7" from top) and it had just started to bleach and leave little white dots on a few leaves. I keep it around 9-10"
away now that it's all mature and lovely. Lower nodes are 2-3" apart, but the newer growth up top is way closer. It IS mostly Sativa.
Anyways, all this trial and error will give the clones-to-be the best chance of me not murdering them.
Gonna start leeching today!

Not to thread jack or anything, just adding my 2 cents on LED.
I got my light from Hydroponics Hut for €300 ($350). It's the Pro-Grow 260 (190w) and it is truly a beast at both vegging and also blooming.
I am on my second grow now with 4 plants. You should check my 4 ladies out after 4 weeks. They look very different to yours. Mine are super bushy.
Just a tip if you decide to invest in another light sometime. My friend just bought the Pro- Grow 400 and it is a demon !!! Unreal growing power !
These babies are worth a look, and they have a 3 year warranty with free postage to Europe from the U.S. !
