too much bloom?
Hello everyone! just hoping i could get some help! I mixed my rez yesterday very stoned (a big no no) and think I over fed. It goes like this, 35 gallon rez ebb n flo, gh nutes, 2nd week flowering, 35tsp gro, 70 tsp micro, and here is the question either 90 tsp bloom or close to 120tsp bloom? I also started adding molasses this rez change 1 tsp gal(35 tsp), ppm 1170. should i flush and start over, 3 feedings since sat 10:30 am central
thanks

from what I see I'm guessing your using the Lucas formula so bloom should be 105

Im not sure what the Lucas method is but after i did calculations your right, it is 105 for bloom, everything is now all set. I was hoping I could get some tips on a few other things? Im using ebb n gro c.a.p. mesh pots and pulled one of the slower growing plants pot today to check it out and the smell was real bad, like pickles almost, not sure what would cause it but my rez has not been above 70, i did notice a slight root growth up the supply tube to the stinky bucket but not complete blockage(second one to get past my screen ) .Also as of the new res change my ph and ppm seems to be dropping??? any comments or suggestions would be awesome.
Tiny, Very Sorry to hear about your uninvited visitors:(

get a bottle of Hygrozyme and it will go in and eat the organic crap laying around in there. Keep in mind that your rez temp never went above 70 but if rez is outside of room then water left in bottom of buckets is hotter. Raise each bucket a couple inches, we used scrap 2x4, that will allow total draining

I am currently using aquashield, is that something like hygrozyme? if not i will get some, I do have all buckets on 2x4 and the control unit on floor. I did check the other plants roots and they r nice and healthy?? Tiny I was reading one of your earlier posts about putting the buckets higher than the control unit, so thats what i did when i started this last gro. The only thing I can think is that those roots clogged the line and the wet roots just gooped up real nice with no fresh water supply , as I said the other buckets r nice and healthy??

yup I had that happen before with the roots. When the system floods pull the inner basket up out of bucket and see if flood flushed the roots back into bucket. If so remove roots and carry on. When you go to put inner liner back in bucket, if the system is still flooded then replace liner SLOWLY or you gonna have big puddle on floor. Good deal on raising buckets. I dont think Aquasheild is the same thing but I'll look into it.

I have a similar system. Two 2 gal bucks one inside the other. Filled with expanded clay.Flooded 6 times a day, ph of 5.8 and using lucas method.
When I used molasses and the roots sitting in the 1/2 inch of water at the bottom of the bucket got a goopy, like clear jelly on them. I know it can't be helping only hurting.
How do you all deal with that?

I have never had that problem as I didn't use molasess but I quick thought says try and backflush the system. When doing a res change, lift buckets a lil higher than normal and add water to the bucket and let it drain back to controller which will put it in the rez where it can be pumped out or how ever you empty your rez.
