A learning experience

Yes I am a noob to this forum but not growing. I actually had something that has never happened. I am in the midst of losing a plant. I do not know whats wrong as of 2 weeks ago it was healthy and doing fine. I put into flower and today...it's probably not going to make it. I think Nute deficiency, specifically N.

Soil Medium, proprietary blend. Unknow strain, has portrayed good characteristics in the past. Any Ideas. Low to No nutes as I prefer a more natual approach. Hence why I think Low N possibly K.

This started at the lower leaves then moved up. Not all leaves have this discoloration but 75% or more do. This was to be my last grow before going all hydro.


Check out the pic. At least if I learn what caused this I can avoid it in the future.

Have grown here before, other plants as well, spinach, Habenaro etc. It an open closet essentially that I shut for dark time to keep the light from my veg area out. Vegging veggies to practice dwc and aero before trying with expensive crops. There were two plants two weeks ago...both nice and green...a little amount of the above on this female...removed the male and BAM! went down hill...vegged for 6 weeks, 2 week flower. After 12/12 she went down.....

Does it look like N deficiency?

im no veteran here. but i do read and own books...


looks to me like a phosphorus and or magnesium / manganese deficiency.

did the spots show up first, or the yellowing?

I'm wondering if this has to do with phosphorus. I can't tell if it's too much or too little. If that blue fert you've been using is high in phosphorus, that could be it. Check the NPK values and see what the numbers are added together for the soil and anything you've added.

Your problem is very similar to a problem I had about this time last year. Whatever it was? ...it was terminal.

I flushed, changed the lighting height. Nothing I did, helped...in two weeks they were both dead. Only plants I ever lost...:wtf:

DP, can you give more details on that grow, the soil, ferts, etc.?
