:wtf:aloha ohana, I'm new to this site and have decided to catalog my grow to help others and myself. I have already learned so much on this site, life has taught me that you can always learn when you stay in the mystic flow with an open mind. So I have grown in dirt for 10 years and I lived on a dirt road in the jungle but now have moved to a regular house. I've always done the same style in dirt and have decided to try ebb&flow and dwc for the first time. I have been blessed with a great place, and have 10 years dirt experience, and past other houses. So I was trying to always grow organic but have humbled down to learning how to use hydro. so here is my set-up-
which is slowly getting adjusted with time.
*400 watt mh-& fluro tubes
*2- 750 watt hps-lumatek ballasts
*3by6 ebb a flow table with 40 gallon rez.
*a nice dayton intake that blows enough air for both rooms-no a/c needed
*strain--og # 18 reserve privada
So to switch I cut all my clones in dirt so I could have enough cuttings to play with in hydro. I'm going to stick with just 1 strain till I can fine tune everything. Here are pics so far, I appreciate all advice. thanks :rastasmoke:

So i cut all the clones off my dirt mother and got 48 nice cuts. I used dip&grow and plugged them into rapid rooters in a humidity dome. I use a t-5 and put it very close to domes and mist 2-3 times a day with seaweed. So I got roots in 5-7 days and plugged 30 into rockwool 3by3 blocks and 18 into 2 inch cups with pro-mix-bx. I have now decided i should root them in the 2 inch and plug into rockwool that works great cause they establish a root system quick in 2 inch cups, a few days. So now my system is all about establishing plants for the 5 gallon buckets.
So I really liked the ease and ability of the bucket system, but I decided to do it manually by changing each bucket individually instead of a flowing system, I figure if 1 gets damaged it would be better than all of them. I'am using rainwater from a catchment that catches rain water. It is as pure as it gets it only has 18 or less ppm on the meter. I have decided to use the gh line of fertilizer and go with latewoods advice and numbers. so the bucket really holds about 3-4 gallons so I'm doing the 1-1-1 for veg and .25-1-2 for flower. I'll write more in while- thanks

anyone doing anything similar? So the ones on the ebb&flow are at 450 ppm & 5.8 ph, and the roots just got to bottom of the cubes and I'm also doing 4 inch pots with hydroton in the bottom with pro-mix-bx, all plants are on the table till i get 24 or more 5 gallon buckets for furthur vegging and switch to just fluro for pre-veg. SO the buckets I'm running at 800ppm & 5.8 ph is the ppm too little? I'm doing .25-1-2 like latewood said, so in flowering I'm using 6mls-24mls-48ml's per 3 gallons roughly or 10-40-80 per 5 gallons, gh line of fert.
so I'm manually topping off buckets with 5.8 water and a little fert to balance it out.
The system is so basic it is just a 5 gallon bucket with a airstone and tubing with fitting by the top going to airpump. I have the airpump running 10 buckets right now,on 24 hours a day. I have noticed everyday a drift up, but is not a problem, cause I'm always on it. So it is just a matter of 1 day a week working 2 hours, starting with haveing as many buckets as are in the room as spare buckets that are clean, and filling each and every one with 3-4 gallons at .25-1-2 or 10-40-80 ml's per 5 gallon-1=8ml's per gallon. and a liitle 35% peroxide, I'm thinking about adding big bud once they get furthur along, but things look great now, just wondering about ppm for going into flowering and good numbers for week 1-2-3-4-5-6-, should i transition right to 1-2-3 or go 2-2-2 like the bottle says for maybe 2 weeks? :rastasmoke:

stick with Latewood's receipe and all will be fine, have been using it for quite some time now and works well. Dont know if I would change to what bottle recommends, I would stay with what I started doing

Thanks for writing tiny, I've seen your logs and appreciate any advice from you, what do you think of this, I just changed the 5 gallon buckets yesterday and put 6mls-24mls-35mls and it came out at 855 ppm do you think that is high enough for 4th day into flowering?

also what do you think of my overall gameplan? also how high do you keep your lights they are at about 36" from plants and both 750's are sidebyside with about 2 feet inbetween them?

I am at 850ppm 5th week of flowering EC x 500 (purple diesel grow)
Nice grow, I heard OG Kush was a bit hard to grow. It says that in the oaksterdam catalog. I would love to check out your progress Good Luck!
My style when it comes to TDS:
I check the TDS before the watering and again after.
Lets say my TDS before is 850 and after its 800. That is quite a big drop so I would raise my nutes. So the next day say before the watering is 900 then I check after and its 880-890. I leave it. I only want a small drop.
lets say before its 900 then after 920. My TDS is too high.
My plants seem to do great when there is a small drop to no drop in TDS after watering. I grow in rockwool and I water once a day (ebb and flow). This has always worked great for me. This along with what the plants say. Yet what they tell me is they like my style.

My TDS may seem low. I do use a lot of organic additives.
