I think the LED's are making progress, nice grow
Still, without having the nugs in hand and trying the finished product, I don't think I'd make the switch from my HPS just yet ;)
Some more info on the setup would be nice. What strain are you growing? Veg and flowering times? Yield?

Just to note, those lights seen are 6 cell units. On the site the poster gave on another thread, the 3 cell units are around $800, just to give readers a point of reference. They do look very nice though.

I think the only way I would be willing to use LEDS is for supplemental lighting at this point. I know some say the technoology is there...I want nice big and dense buds...I know my HPS lights can do that.

I don't know, from what I keep hearing the LEDs make for frostier, better flavored nugs...Density isn't too much of a concern for me, I don't require much weight, but flavor and smoothness definitely are! When I get back into growing I'll be picking up some LEDs, especially since in my area it gets to around 125 F outside every summer...Seems like a substantial savings for ventilation and electricity costs.

It was bubble blueberry. The lights have 4 different types of emitters on board. Each three CEL runs 64 watts through my "killowatt" meter and I used two to flower (128 watts total). 18/6 veg and 12/12 flower. It took about 3.5 months start to finish from a clone. About .875 gram/watt min yield. Very potent and super smooth product. Im still a pretty "green" grower so any advice would be helpful.

I'll take yer word for da pretty.:D
The green makes me curious though.
Why green leds?
I'm quite happy with blue and red.
As for advice?
Lose the Hydrotron and look into coco coir.
It's a good medium for led growing.
I do have some experience with both.
And have posted hints with my album pictures.
Aloha.

i can't see the pictures here...the net won't open them...but i am with Weez...why the green LED's...they sell green lights so you can enter your flower room during dark cylce w/o interupting the plant...so if a plant cannot see the green wavelength's why include it in your setup?
