Irish Balcony/Window Grow
I know its a late grow diary, but here it is anyway. Late spring May/ early summer June.
These babies are 18 days from seed. I'm growing on my window and balcony (depending on weather conditions). I can afford to take that risk cos no one else is in the building and plants are too high up to be seen on the balcony.
Its my first grow, i plan to flower them when they reach about 1-2'.

They look good. Im curious how your results will be from the window sill. Seems like a big window, but do you have plans to move them somewhere else when they get bigger?
Irish Balcony/Window Grow
Thanks, i only plan to grow them maybe 1 or two foot high so space won't be an issue, and i'm guessing i'll only end up with 2 or 3 when i weed out the males.
I'll post some balcony pics up soon, its right next to the window great for good weather, speaking of which, this weekend is amazing.

Ok so here we are day 23. We had an absolute stunner of a weekend and I think they've taken to it. I on the other hand am suffering from 3rd degree sunburn, stupid, i never wore sunscreen, but c'mon this is Ireland. Was more like Spain though, awesome weather. Severe pain.
The plants started wilting last night, did a rush search on the internet trying to find some answers, could of been the heat was 22'C >. Anyway i thought they had plenty of water and didn't want to risk overwatering them so i left it. They were grand this morning which is when i took the pics.
Two of the plants have some leaf tissue going a bit scratchy was a bit concerned about this, but it doesn't seem to be developing. Ill take pics soon.

Irish Balcony/Window Grow
So my kids arn't babies no more at month old, some are looking healthy, some arn't. New neighbours, so probably no more snaps of balcony growing, from now on they'll all be grown from my bedroom window (south facing). I feel more comfortable them being there.
My majour concern is bugs, as i mentioned previously i noticed scarring on one of the plants, the scarring continued to get worse so i took a closer inspection of the plant, what i thought was dust or dirt was actually a bug. I sqished it. Thought that might solve the problem but the scarring had continued, today i gave another thorough inspection and found more. So from now on ill be checking every day closely. I'm also keeping the scarred plant about a foot away from the others.
My other concern is to do with my fastest grower, its leaves have started curling, i dont own a PH tester so i will go look for one at the weekend but that could be the issue.
No sign of sex yet, Does anyone have ideas based on size, location, breed (hawaii x skunk 1) when it will show ?
Also should of mentioned I'm growing with Plagron Royalty Mix so in two weeks time ill have to start adding nutriants

Irish Balcony/Window Grow
K so todays the last of vegetation for me, the plants are all roughly a foot high and i can't risk growing any larger.
New people have moved into the apartment so I'm scared right now, it's gonna get really scary when they start stinking up my room :) I'll have the place kitted out with dozens of time release air fresheners.
I can rub the stems smell my fingers and get a good whiff of the goods to come, you can smell the stuff at the very tips of the plants too. Can't wait its been about a year since i lit up so its gonna be a very special occasion in 8 weeks time.
The plants are getting very leafy and have taken up most of my windowsill :)
Got rid of the bug problem used this stuff called gnat-off Hydrogarden got rid of them after 1ml and i payed â?¬28 for 250ml. i bought nutrients too. I payed for grow nutrients â?¬12 for 1lt which i'm not going to use. and got bloom and green sensation wwww.plagron.com for free :) I'll start adding that stuff tomorrow.
So it's 12/12 after i get home from work. hope my mate brings home some cardboard boxes.
K so heres my smallest babe

Irish Balcony/Window Grow
Ok, the plants are growing at a seriously rapid rate now. Don't what to do, don't really want to top them esp in flowering.
I've been looking into bending, but I need a guide. Is really as simple as watering, and then pull the stem down with a string ?
I will get some photos up either today or Sunday. If they actually grow 2-3 times higher then when you started flowing, I'm expecting plants around 2-3' high.
God Help Me.
Anyone have any advice please ?
Irish Balcony/Window Grow
they look like they are doing pretty good. I;m pretty interested in this and I have a buddy that has been trying to grow in a window sill too.
Anyways... about the stretch thing, yep they can stretch even up to 4x their height from veg... that would probably only happen with a pure sativa though.
as for tieing them down - yeah that is basically it. Obviously caution must be used, normally people start doing it really early on I believe before the stems harden and get difficult to bend... even if you do snap a stem its probably not the end of the world... generally you can just straight it out, tape a splint around it and it'll heal in a couple days but obviously you want to avoid that if you can.
I'd suggest you experiment on the weakest of the bunch first to get the hang of it.
I think if you look around in the advanced techniques form for "LST" (Low Stress Training) you'll find some more info about it.

Irish Balcony/Window Grow
Ok, so first of all, some photo's coming tonight. Secondly the plants are way bigger then expected and i can't cope with the pressure anymore. There just there in my window for anyone to see. Thirdly a guy recently moved into my apartment, turns out he wants to be a gaurd.
I have a tough decision to make, to either cut them down or to buy a light kit and convert my closet into a growpod. Even then how will i cope with the smell.
I'm getting a new place come September a house, with plenty of privacy and i will be buying a grow kit for sure. It's just heartbreaking coming this far, having very few difficulties, spending a few quid on gear that should last quit some time. But to start over again :(
Any idea's ? please !
