hello every body im back this season
ok im going to try this again this season so far iv got a total of 8 seeds germinnated in these little seed starter things that swell when you add water. 3 are from a seed bank in vancover but i forget the name of them they supposivley grow well in the toronto area. they are all ready out of the dirt. any ways i need some ideas i want to use no ferts i have perlite and vermiculite and a nice organic composte in the back compost bin.after they get about 3 weeks old i want to put them in 5 gallon pails. will the compost and vermiculite and perlite be good for them from start to end.? any ideas or good cheap ways to do a few plants and if i need more product for growing and what that product could be (ontario products pleas) i want to do this right i only get a few months a year. and i would love to have a good outdoor backyard grow log.
thanks in advance

last year i think i overdone it and come october my plant looked soo good smelt soo good trichs were huge but nothing no high what so ever so i think it was due to too much ferts10/15/10 is what i used and also i always hear its beter to go organic. but if you could give me a good idea on what and how to use ferts and when to use them i will defently use them whatever it takes to get a good crop i dont want what hapend to last year to happen again so im open to all ideas. thanks

ever heard of organic fertilizers?? dont know much about compost but I think I've heard that they are very good. 10/15/10 is 2 strong for both veg. and flowering from what I know. That sounds like miracle grow product or schultz plant food. Veg. stage you want high Nitrogen and low phosphorus and potassium. Fox Farms is what I use.. 6-4-4... flowering you want low Nitrogen high phosph and potassium. Fox Farms Tiger Bloom is 2-8-4. Fox Farms are very hot so you don't necc. follow what the label says. Start of low and work your way up. Thats what you want to do with any fertilizer.
I have no idea why your plant didn't get you high tho.. not even a buzz??? It defintely wasn't because of the ferts because I think it would have killed the plant if the ferts were too much. Only thing I can think of is you harvested too early when the buds were premature.. or wayyy to late. How long did you let them flower for and what told you that they were ready to chop down. You are supposed to look at the trichomes to know when the plant is ready.
Some1 with more experience help this man out!

I dont live in Canada so I dont know where you can get 'em. I get mine at a hydroponics store around here. You don't have to use Fox Farms I was just giving examples of the type of NPK values you want. Not advisable to put seed right into a five gallon pail. Start off with a plastic cup if you can or a very small pot.
The way those plants look I don't see how they didn't get you high. They look safely Sativa.. 10 weeks is enough for Indica.. def. not enough for Sativa. I'm just throwing ideas out there because I want to figure this out.
Can somebody figure out why his plants didn't even get him a buzz.. lol what are you guys good 4?

Yes, if they are sativas then I was told that 14 weeks is usually the point to where sativas are the best, but then again I have heard of some sativa strains going as long as 24 weeks to peak harvest!
Also, the drying process or the cure may have not been properly done! From the looks of those plants, I don't see how you DIDN'T get blazed. Maybe you have too high a tolerance :D
Also, just like suggested above, it is not recommended to go from a small pot to a 5 gallon pot right away! Usually I transplant 2-3 times depending on how fast they grow and how fast the root mass grows. It is said that going straight to a 5 gallon pot/pail can cause your roots not to grow fast enough to take up its space and also was told that the better the root mass the better the yield will be! Not sure how credible that last statement is, but it makes sense to me!
