Saying a prayer for him and his family. Good luck.
I wish we could go back to the days of no federal minimum sentences and let the judge use his common sense on this.
It's a 2 edged blade imho.Quote:

But I do get where you're coming from. Removal of judicial discretion can be viewed as eroding the system. (as if it wasn't already corroded)
Sentencing has been postponed until the federal judge on the case gets a written statement from the DOJ regarding it's official position on prosecuting MMJ dispensary operators. Doesn't change the fact he was convicted, just means that the judge wants to take the new administrations stated position into consideration prior to sentencing. So now, we wait. What will the DOJ say? What will his sentence be in light of that written statement out of the DOJ, and what will it mean for others that are facing federal charges?
Time will tell. I will continue to update this thread as more information becomes available.
Good luck Mr. Lynch.
And the phone rang. HEHA!!!!!! that has to feel good to the defence.I hope him all the best luck.
That could be interpreted as good news.:thumbsup:Quote:

You are right on killer, this could very well be good news, but it really depends alot on what the DOJ states. It feels like this may be coming to a head here very shortly. I can't imagine any prosecutor moving forward w/ any other pending cases if the DOJ comes back and makes a consistent statement w/ Holder and Obama's. Me and mine out here in the IE are on edge to say the least. I would encourage everyone to write letters to the court on Lynch's behalf, this cannot hurt, can only help. And pray, or, if you are agnostic or whatever, then hope or whatever it is you do! LOL:jointsmile::thumbsup::D
When will the DOJ respond? Now that's the millon dollar question.
P.S.
Sentencing will be reschedueled for April 30th. Plenty of time for lots of letters folks.
Need to know where to send it kush.
