Curling
Day 18 flowering. 400W HPS on first pic with curling. 3 gal pots soil grow. T5's are not curling the HPS is. Any ideas? All nutrients are the same for HPS and T5's The only difference is the amount of fan, which could contribute to cold or the HPS. Any ideas?

What's the temp under the HPS and do you have a fan blowig across the tops of the plants ? Hps cause heat and the plant transpires more. Light maybe tooo close or higher temps. Fill out he problem form.

Here is more info: Remember the plants under the T5's see the same nutrient schedule and watering and and circulation and they are great. Just the HPS ones are the problem.
S=traditional soil
E-indoor
CSL-FFOF
SCLR-6.8 pH
E-RO
E-6.8 pH
E-1 month veg, 19 day flower
E-1tsp liquid karma, 1tsp earthjuice bloom, 1tsp kabloom
E-every other watering for nutrients
E-400w HPS 9 inches
E-Air temperature 80
E-Air % Relative humidity around 15
E-12/12
E-2 fans and open door into the house
TR-Did you pre-soak your media in pH correction: No

Curling
Any help anyone? I moved the ones that were under the HPS curling to the T5's for the last few days and nothing changed. Could I possibly be overwatering? Cervantes said that as long as you have good drainage, water away. What gives? The new growth leaves seem to hang down and curl under on the sides of the leaves and the tip of the leaves.

It can take some time to come back from stress but my guess is. The 400 only 9 inches should be more like 18 to 24 and 15 humidity is low. Good for flower time but the light is making them transpire. That's like sweating for plant. too much transpire and they will die trying to drink that much water.

Curling
cranked up the humidity and hopefully the curling ones under the T5's will staighten up. The leaf curling shouldn't have been caused by overwatering or underwatering could it?

Curling
Over or under watering will cause the big droop. I don't think it will cause curling. If both sets get the same treatment except for light then I think you have it under control. give it a little time.

Curling
too close...should be 13-17 inches...depending on the reflector. (not all reflectors are created equal)

Curling
i run my hps at 6 inches above plant tops no cooling just cross breeze, temp at tops 78-84 and they do great
what is the size differance between the plants?
were the t5s starting to curl too? 2-21

i had this same issue with the same medium as you. one of my problems was too small pot. so i transplanted in 5 gallon. next is have you checked you run off ph???? i bet that is the main problem rather than the pot size but when roots tend to hit bottom, the tips curl down, ph makes the leave curl like an upside down canoe. when plants go into flowering stage the soil tends to get salty and acidic with ffof. you gotta do a light flush, check your ph runoff and raise it. check it, i bet your going to get a low ph.
