You call it! Obama or McCain?
We are less than a day from the election and less than a day and a half from knowing who will be the next President of the United States (assuming no month-long Supreme Court legal battles!). Who do you think is going to win?
Remember, the poll is not about who you are voting for --- it's about who you think will WIN.
You call it! Obama or McCain?
Its a shame people are forced to vote for a facist or a socialist.
I sugest you start this thread over and give people ALL the canidates to choos from.
But given only 2 i say Obama by a landslide.
You call it! Obama or McCain?
Everyone says Obama has a BIG lead.
I think so many people think that, that obama supporters will not show up and vote.
And mcain people think hes behind so there ALL going to go out and vote.
I say Mcain will win.
You call it! Obama or McCain?
I am positive that Obama will win.
In fact, I think it is far more likely that Obama will win with well over 300 electoral votes than it is that McCain could come up with the 270 to win. It may be close in the popular vote, but I think there is a chance of an Electoral College landslide.
In order for McCain to win, he'd have to take all the states Bush won in 2004, some of which are leaning toward Obama, and also sweep all the tossups, many of which show Obama ahead in the polls (just not enough ahead to say they "lean" toward Obama). All the polling shows the race going to Obama.
Probably the only way for McCain to win would be if there are assumptions about the race and the polling that are flat-out wrong, which could be the case. Maybe Obama's ground organization and get-out-the-vote operations are not as strong as everyone thinks. Maybe newly registered and younger voters will not turn out the way everyone thinks. Maybe there is a hidden "Bradley effect" racial factor that hasn't registered in the polls. Maybe the conservatives are more fired-up than they seem. Maybe ALL the undecides will break for McCain. Any one of those things might be true, but it seems to me that they would ALL have to be true for this thing to swing McCain's direction --- the electoral gap is just too big for any one of these factors alone to swing it.
Nothing is for certain until the votes are counted, but I think it will go to Obama.

How many people LIE to pollsters anyhow?
BOB Barr Libertarian canidate should have slipped in to take over the void left by Ron Paul. With the two choices given I sincerely think he would of had a chance.

I thought about putting on a Third Party option, but I decided it was just so far-fetched that a third party will get anywhere close to winning that I didn't do it. This poll is about who will WIN, not about who you are going to vote for --- there is already a thread for that. Do you think a third party candidate could actually WIN tomorrow? I would be surprised if a third party could even pick up 1 electoral vote, let alone the 270 needed to win. And I do not mean that out of disrespect for third parties --- I think I'm just being realistic about who will win.
If you want to see that option, I can ask P4B to add it to the poll. Let me know.

obama will win but it will be a hollow victory because republicans will get over 40% of the vote despite the disasterous bush administration and the pissweak mccain/palin campaign
mccain and palin would probably win if george bush hadn't been a complete screwup...george bush is the wind in obama's sails
You call it! Obama or McCain?
Biden is the wind in mcains sail

You are right that there is a danger of complacency and some Obama supporters will not show up if they think it is already in the bag. Personally, I don't think it is going to make a big difference. There is also a danger of McCain supporters thinking that if it is ineveitable he has lost, why bother showing up? The idea that it is a done deal can cut both ways.
