Cheap alternative for supplying C02
Ok Iâ??ve been lurking around the forums for a few months and have never seen it mentioned. I have heard that spraying your plants with club soda can be a cheap method to provide your plants with C02. Makes sense to me, but wanted to know if anybody has tried.
Iâ??m about to harvest my 1st successful grow, so if nobody has any ill words about the idea, I will experiment with my next grow.

LOL, true never thought of that. Well what hell am I going to do with all these cats, any body want to trade a co2 unit for cats, they also fertilize for free.:) To be honest you can bring up the co2 levels a bit by doing that, but if your venting like you should be it will be exhausted in to the outdoors pretty quick. It more hassle then benefit in my opinion. I bet there are more beneficial things that could be changed in your garden to bring up the efficiency, that would give you more yield with way less work.

interesting fact about CO2
with 1 person in a 1 bedroom apartment complex;
you roughly have 2-3 times more CO2 in the apartment than outside air
(source from a different MJ forum with a guy who had a meter to test CO2 levels)

Quick 2 min search via google showed other forum peepz talking about this
I think you need to get a certain kind/brand? that does not have any salt residue?

Club soda may contain sodium for taste. It also comes in at a low pH due to dissolved CO2 going into solution as carbonic acid. It is also not going to give a ton of CO2 for the money and waste. A block of dry ice in a cooler with a few holes in it would be better, or a yeast/flour/sugar fermenter in the room (put it on a tray; they can bubble up and overflow).
Cat shit has high salt and will kill plants.
Most people will not benefit much, if any, from atmospheric enrichment. If light is your limiting factor as it is with flouro growers, adding CO2 is not going to help.
