Rust Colored New growth.

Hello all.
I am trying my hand at my first outdoor. The plants look healthier than any attempt as of yet. I am learning to leave the girls alone and let them do their thing. One problem i have started to see is that the new growth is turning a little rust colored.
The plants are starting week two of bloom. They are in FF soil, but some of them were recently transplanted from COco to soil. They have only been fed once in the last ten days because the coldish nights are keeping them moist longer than usual.
Otherwise they look happy and are definitely growing.
I am using all Botanicare nutes. And also using them conservatively. Any ideas? I could try to take pics, but it might be hard to make out.

I have RARELY had to give extra nutes using the fox farm soil....maybe too many nutes? That's just a guess on my part.

Are the rust colored spots on the leaf or is the whole leaf looking rust colored?

Just reread.....I remember Stinky mentioned that if soil stayed wet too long it could affect ph.....can you put the pots up off the ground so they don't stay wet so long? I think the staying too wet may we be your issue here.

thanks for the input Hound. Question...when you have used FF soil, you don't need nutrients even in Bloom? I will go snap some shots now!

Well Im following Stinky's advice....she's the soil BOMB and started my clone off in a one gallon, then upped to a 3 gallon and now to a 5 which i SERIOUSLY hope will be her last. So she's been getting FRESH soil additions every once in awhile and I think that makes a big difference.

ps...if you are in the general area I think you are......are you above or below say....3500 feet?

i am at approx 3100.

I understand how that could work if the container were to continually increase in size...mine do as well.

ps. your nute schedule helped me out big time. Thanks for sharing. When i first started i was follow Botanicare's bottle suggestions...silly...even though i did mostly a soil grow i still used your amounts as a guideline...actually more than a guideline! It helped, the proof is in the cola.

ps. these are three different plants. Not sure if it can be seen as the issue is actually in the new growth (budding sites) before it unfolds itself. I noticed it a few days ago and have not seen anything similar on the "opened up"leaves.

Off the top of my head I'd guess damage from cold nights or possibly pests.....but can't rule out the possibility of root issues as well. It doesn't really look like a def or lockout to me. Stinky is much better at troubleshooting that kind of thing than I am so she may something completely different but it just looks like direct damage to me.

Lots warmer today.....keep a close eye and see if/how it progresses. Also consider a good fungus spray and/or bug spray as well for outdoor plants.

That underlined part, which guidelines? would love to know, im using botanicare 1/2strength on wk 1 now, full strength i think is bad, got an ounce per plant using full strength, u think 1/2 stength would make more yield? What do you do? Im doing soil as well. Thanks.:rastasmoke:

Sure broski.....if you go to the hydroponics forum it's actually a sticky at the top along with another nute schedule for GH nutes. ;)
