Can you solve this small riddle?

Well... this riddle is actually a test, given to employess of a certain plant.

The riddle:

Once upon a time, there was an old woman, who had two daughters who lived with her. One day, this woman died. During her funeral, her older daughter met a man and fell in love for him.
One or two weeks later, she killed her sister.
Why does she did it?

Yea I know the answer. This is also know as the psychopath test.

It's missing the part about her not getting his number, otherwise it doesn't make sense.

She believed him to be her dream guy so much, that she fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later she killed her sister.

yeah you definitely forgot a part about not exchanging information...i was very confused for a bit lol

Here's my guess.

She fell in love with the detective, and her sister murdered her mother, and the detective knew this.

the riddle itself would be damn near impossible to solve, but the answer is really good.
