well when/if i have a kid im not going to let them smoking pot intill they are 15-16 because i want there bodies to be mostly devoloped atleast and im going to tell them that they can call me any time if they need a ride home from a party if there drunk, and im going to tell them if i hear or see them doing any hardcore drugs no more pot so basically im going to let them smoke and drink a little with me when they are around 16
the way i see it i would rather them smoke with me then with 2 friends going 70 down a highway

if i have kids i'll let them be kids. i'll let them wreck their bikes, get into fights over backyard football. get into trouble...fuck just let them be kids. hopefully i can instill enough down home farm logic into them that they'll make the right decisions.

i wouldnt be happy if my kids were getting high at the same age that i was,, but i know from expirience that you can tell them not to smoke all you want and if they want too, they will.

when they're old enough to be responsible.... can't set an age.... for some it may not come til after 18, for some it may come before 13.. (although highly unlikely) anything 'strong' i won't endorse, and if found in my house i will flip out.... however, once he's out of my house, i will not approve, but it's stupid to think you can control them even shortly before that point, much less afterwards.

I'd want to shout them their first session :) I wouldn't mind them starting as early as I did, mainly because I know that they'll do it regardless of what I tell them. I enjoy smoking up so I don't see why my kid can't! ;)

My daughter is 15 and I just accidently found 3 joints in her room (INSERT PARENTAL SHOCK HERE). I've never openly gotten high in front of my kids but they have seen me stoned before so I guess I shoudlnt be shocked. I always knew the day was coming....I just didn't expect it so soon. I let her keep the joints and just had a talk with her about the good AND bad experiences I've had. My parents were pretty laid back so I told her that I wont be to uptight about a little weed and if she ever gets in a situation she cant handle dont be aftraid to call us. I told her both of me and her dad have gotten away with a lot of shit so she shouldnt think she can get much past us. Just be honsest with us and we'll be cool.

Whenever they want..they know I wont be mad at them if they do..but they have absolutely no interest in smoking weed..and they are 14 and 11...honestly they dont have the time for it either..always keep your kids involved in something positive..

I will make it clear that the more he fulfills his responsibilities (good grades, get into a good college) the more he can do.
If he wants to smoke in HS, but still gets good grades, then it's fine.
I'll set things like. If you get only A's and B's this quarter, then you can get your license by the time you are 16. If you get 2100 on your SATs we'll go buy a car for you, etc.
It'll be like he has to earn his stuff. If he does everything good, I'll be the awsome parent who lets him do anything.
I'll be like, "I'm going away for the weekend. You can do whatever you want in the house as long as everything is the way it was by the time I get back."
I'll really emphasize that he be responsible when it counts.
I probably won't encourage him smoking. But when I catch him I'll be like, "Can you smoke me out?" After that I'll tell him it's ok, but no hardcore drugs at all.
