ok this is the deal ive got a 400w hp and ive had the bill come in and dame it is ent good what i need to know is how much does it cost to run a 400w for 12-12 a mouth eny othere figers would be great thanks o and this is in england..... this info is really in portant.... :eek:

thanks for that dylan but ive done that all ready and its in usa dollars and thats with veg and flower im just doing 12-12 and i really need to know what it is in english so eny growers out there from uk need input... i need to know the cost of a mouth 400w hp 12-12 :confused:

hi smoothe,me again lol,before i moved home recently,my house was on a token metre,an me an the wife reckon about £36-£40 a month,when u consider the end result it don't really cost that much does it!!!!love an respect....spliffbuilder.

I don't know about in the U.K. but Iwould asume you can get what is known as a multi-tap ballast for your fixture just like here in the states. It allows you to run your light at a higher voltage witch will use less amps and cut down on your cost alot. Hope this helps you a little. What ever you do don't try to save money by switching to fluro's. First of all you won't like the results and if you figure that you need 10 40 watt fluro's to equal 1 400 watt hps the light to power ratio sucks. PEACE

if your grow area is completely inclosed and you use JUST artificial light... run the lights at night, the power rates are lower (in canada anyway) during non-peak hours
