How exactly does the Pope get elected to be the Pope? And also, what exactly does the Pope do?
The pope is elected from the college of cardinals by his peers. Cardinals are appointed by the pope.
The pope is like the voice of the catholic church. He doesn't really have much power in modern times, but he bascially used to call the shots on what was going on in the world in the old old days.

The pope doesn't like Harry Potter, that alone makes me dislike him a bit.

i want to joyride the popemobile
In that case I might have to give Catholicism another look :p I can't stand Harry Potter... or LOTR, or that new crap that came out with sky pirates, or Star Wars, or Pirates of the Caribbean. Anything "epic" or "fantasy"-like kinda gets a wag of the finger from me.Quote:
