Droopy, shrinking leaves?
Hey guys, I'm a first timer at growing.
I had this plant in the vegetative state for about 2 months now and just started the 12/12 cycle a few days ago.
A little history, I first started the plant off in soil then later on transplanted it in a 50/50 mix of Pete Moss and Perlite. The plant seemed to have adapted well to the transplant and started growing nicely. This was about a month ago.
Now I have this plant in those bowls were you don't have to water the top, just put water in the hole in the bottom and strings of material soak up water to the bottom and let the capillary action use as much water as it needs. (I think it's called capillary). So the other day I figured that I'd water the plant from the top of the bowl just for kicks and I think that I might of over watered it since the leaves started drooping over a day later.
Can anyone confirm? I had 3 150 watt energy efficient lights, took one off just in case cause it does get pretty hot in the closet after a while. I open the door every so often to get the hot air out and some fresh air in. I also have a 80mm computer fan with a variable control knob installed in there as well. I usually feed it some 10-50-10 fertilizer, I wonder if I should add a nitrogen stick or two. Any recommendations?
Here's a pic.

Hey here's what to do.
Check your runoff pH to begin. Peat moss is close to pH=4.5 and causes severe nutrient lockout.
Fert spikes are NOT good for indoor cannabis.
Flush your plant very well with pH adjusted water and then feed with a half-strength complete fertilizer solution.

What would be the easiest way to flush a plant?

whatever size your pots are, run double-triple that amount of clear water thru it, rinsing out all the excessive nutrients ... be sure to use water of a temperature to not shock your roots ... simple stuff ... P.S., you look over-nuted with nitrogen, too, maybe from your fertilizer spikes ... the flushing will fix that ... :smokin:

I agree with StinkyAttic ... I was surprised she didn't 'pounce on ya' when you mentioned Peat Moss :D ... peat moss BAD :weedpoke:

Heh, I guess I've been reading the wrong stuff on how to grow weed. Truth is I just found this site yesterday when I noticed my plant going all weird.
Thanks for the info, it's appreciated.

I started the flushing process and all the water that drops in the bottom reservoir is a yellowish color. What exactly does that mean?

That yellowish color is organics from the peat. Do a pH test on it! Betcha it's WAAAAAAY low.

So to properly flush a plant you need double what the container size is? I have 3 gallon grow bags does that mean each plant would get six gallons of Water!!!!????
Droopy, shrinking leaves?
Six gallons of water plus 3 gallons of your fertilizer solution, pH adjusted, and at 1/4 the normal strength. That replaces the flush water and prevents stress to hte plant.
