Very simple, generic, question that anyone will be able to answer....Keep it simple so this doesn't get moved.:thumbsup:
Is it happening or are people making it up to fool you and acheive their own ends?

Polar Bears...America's newest deadliest threat! I'm sure Colbert will be on top of these white devils!
What came first? The global "scare" or evidence of global warming?
Yes, I do believe global warming is happening. I think there is a strong and undeniable of convergence of data on many fronts which all point to one direction: the earth is warming and we probably are causing it.
I don't see why you shouldn't believe in global warming. Even if it isn't true, at least you are bettering the earth for your children and so on.
yes very much so
of course. not is like not believing in milk
Perhaps my question should have been "Do you care about global warming"
I seem to hear alot of red necks (no offense i come from this ancestry as well) saying "Lets go change the climate" in reference to driving their big trucks around in a very aggressive manner.
While this is fun, I think its very irresponsible and the attitude that accompanies it is simple and archaic.:(
I think global warming is happening, not necessarily being caused by CO2 in the atmosphere- there are about 130ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere now, whereas in the first Ice Age, it's estimated around 1500ppm were in the atmosphere. I think it's a combination of MOSTLY natural and cosmic forces and some human impact that is causing it.
Still couldn't hurt to keep our habitat cleaner, though.
That is kind of a false fact, though. When an ice age comes along, the world is set into a theoretical spiral where it technically can't raise it's temperature, it just keeps getting lower and lower. The way that the earth recovers from this spiral is through the co2 gasses released by volcanoes. After a while, all of that co2 collects and makes a global warming effect, causing the ice age to discontinue. So really, there has to be a TON of co2 when there is an ice age, otherwise we would still be in one today.Quote:
