Where to meet a new guy...

So I am recently single, and every guy I have ever met has been in school or through a friend from school. I am graduated from high school ... thank god ... and I am the only person I know not going to college. I just got a beautiful apartment that I'll move into next month right in the center of a big city. I feel like it would be easy to meet guys at bars (i have a fake) but I feel like thats not a good idea. So basically I'm wondering if you know any good places to meet a good hearted, open minded, creative, sexy, successful man? besides a bar.

umm Facebook is all the rage now. If you don't have the balls to add strangers and talk to them (why not!) then go to your friend's pages, look thru their friends, pick one, ask him/her to introduce you 2. voilaaaa

walking a dog in the park, in a coffee shop, library, at a place of work (most common)... the list goes on but the point is that you could meet the person of your dreams almost anywhere, anytime ;)

I have to disagree with the no bar partâ??I mean, there are different types of bars which attract different types of guys, some of whom are very intelligent, creative, sexy, good-heartedâ??but whatever, the question is what are your interests? However you answer is where you should go. And, yes, really, the best answer is "anywhere."

Im in almost the exact same situation as you miss high times. 18 out of highschool and im moving to New Zealand to start a life in the big city of Auckland in only two weeks. Im just working and setting myself up to start, bars are fun for swings but it never progresses anywhere. I say go to a gym or just keep spending time with friends of friends till something comes up

It all depends on the guy you're looking for. Show up at an event like an art show, and see who's there, and if that's the kind of crowd you like.

plentyoffish.com is pretty good, especially for canadians, it's actually got a tonne of people on there. I've met like 7 or 8 people from there already, and they all seemed like well adjusted people haha.

As a guy, I'll admit to acting differently depending on where we meet. Meet me at the Jersey shore and I'm the type of guy looking to score. Meet me at a bookstore and I'm the type of guy that will strike up a conversation with a complete stranger. Meet me at the gym and I'll flirt with you in a light hearted fashion, then apologize. I guess with that said, places to meet decent guys are bookstores, gyms, upscale venues, museums, etc. Places NOT to go guy-hunting include the boardwalk, fast food places, in the woods, in the back of a van, and porno shops.
