News video showing street racer's cars, court ordered smashed

they could have confisc. the cars and auctioned em to charity.. those wheels look worth 1000 bones!

Was in the paper tonight. I have somewhat mixed feelings about this. Yes they could have used them for charity, but they(the cars) were all tricked (raced)?? out and who ever bought them would probably race them, so I don't know. I felt bad for those that watched their car go bye bye. Where I live they have a place where people can go and race their cars. They have to pay I believe, but hey it would be worth it. :stoned:

The only thing these dumbfucks are doing is giving ppl. even more reason to try to run from the cops .

agreed..although not all of those cars are being crushed because of street racing...Its more from all the stolen parts on the cars..which at the same time could always mean they bought the parts in good faith, not knowing they were infact stolen...

but it really boils down to either a.) race on the street and get away ...be faster than the cop, plan an escape

or

b.) DON'T STREET RACE!... take it to the track man.. 1/4 mile, 1/8 miles and roadcourses...there everywhere, just pony up like 20 bucks to run...

That sucks man, they shouldent be able to do that to peopls cars just for street racing.. They could have just kept giving them fines or sent them to jail. The cars would have been there pride in joy, and to watch it get crushed like thats sucks big time..

+1 on takin the racing to the track.

Funny how they are all Honda/Acura It's as if they are being singled out..

I'm glad I no longer own a Civic, I've had some many problems with people breaking in to it when I had nothing valuable in the car.

Now I got me a car that don't stand out as much and I've had no problems so far thankfully...

i think if you're dumb enough to get caught racin gon the street you deserve to watch your pride and joy smashed into a cube of steel....

don't race you won't lose you car, or life...

Exactly...If your gonna race on the street (Not condoning it..I personally don't street race..I stick to back roads alone), you better be prepared to lose everything...It doesn't take much to make a mistake and kill yourself/passenger, other driver(s), or a spectator...

Find an auto X or drag event...Then you can learn in a controlled and legal environment..Plus there are other drivers that would be more than willing to give you pointers and advice...

personally I'm all for crushing the cars..but not on the first infraction. Maybe a three strikes your out kind of deal..But hefty fines and suspension/revoked license first...
