Pearl Jam or Nirvana.
Pearl Jam easily, Cobain may have a good voice but his songs are just too repetitive, Pearl Jam have way more talented musicians anyway.

Nirvana for me, kurt was an amazing artist. The music was raw and pure. I miss him.
Pearl Jam.
Don't get me wrong, I love Nirvana to death, but the hype around them blew out of proportion and it sorta turned me off. Plus, my dad's a big PJ fan and I tend to listen to the same music as him.
I still love them both.
Saw Nirvana live unplugged when they recorded the acustic album at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor .

Nirvana have always been slightly over rated in my opinion, I prefer their acoustic red neck music really. Frank Black/PIxies were a great influence on Niravana, and they were/are way better. I'm still to this day annoyed with myself for not going to see them when they played my student union in 1991 though.
I prefer Pearl Jam personally between the two though. I had to opportunity to see them for free recently, I get occasionaly jobs like this, I got paid at the end for loading the equipment onto the trucks after the gig. But they made us wait outside the arena for the last hour of the gig and we missed all the great songs like I am alive, and the cover of Neil Youngs Rockin in the Free World! We got right up the front in the VIP area for the first half though, and it was an amazing gig.
In general, I don't like Pearl Jam. But they do have a few songs I really like (Black, Yellow Bedletter, I got ID). But I voted for Pearl Jam anyway, I've been listening to them a lot lately.
I Got ID is one of my favorite songs by them. :thumbsup:Quote:

Both bands are painfully bland, but Nirvana is definatly slightly more interesting.
Apples and oranges. :stoned: I honestly don't know how these two bands even fit into the same genre. They sound nothing alike.
