All science is cool, it is all about asking questions and then finding answers.
Science is the art of learning.
I'm very much interested in the science of sleep, in fact I have a cunning experiment lined up right now. :stoned:
Good idea to have this place I hope it is a success.
I'm a physicist by default, but I am more interested in contemporary life sciences these days.
Psychology.
We are thrust on this planet, with no user manual for our brain/mind.
When you deal with the mind, you're holding the whole world in your hands.
Psychology and existentialism are basically my answer for God. Me. You.
It is imo, the easiest way to acheive long-lasting happiness and contentment,
which at the most basic level is my selfish purpose of living.
i like everything but if i'd have to pick one, i'd say physics.
astronomy by FAR. cmon it's SPACE, and how it works/exploring it. To me that is the ultimate form of science, because to know who we are, we must first know where we come from.
on a sidenote - does space end? whats at the end? how did we end up here? where is foreign life? and finally, will we have the hotel in space soon??? :P
honestly though, its just so unexplored and unknown.
Psychology. Also cool to see a new forum.
not sure where it falls, but chemist would have to be it...
well i don't consider it science really, but my absolute fave is astronomy (personally i think it's closer to geography then science)
but yeah, the idea of mixing this and that and making a new substance amazes me... the fact that hydrogen and oxygen (gasses) mix and make water is amazing.. the fact you can make explosives from everyday household items also fascinates me (lol that sounds kinda terrorist-ish.. i just love explosions.. ain't got 'em in awhile, but i use to take blackcats durring firework season and create huge ass 'bombs' the size of a keyboard or bigger, connecting all the fuses so they go off at the same time, instead of succesively down that roll)
astronomy and geography are both science. astronomy is the study of space, geography is the study of earth. if you really get down to it though physics explains everything, it is the fundamental science.
I like quantum physics too.
