The ascent into adulthood

I'm slightly confused! I'm 19, and I'm making that oh so enjoyable change into adulthood. It's been quite enjoyable for the most part... except in one area. My love life.

As a teenager, I used to do pretty alright with the ladys. I wasn't a stud or anything, but I did okay. Now, I am seeing that the women of the adult world are a slightly different breed of creature.... Much more mature of course, which suits me just fine, as i've been fully matured since oh, age 12. I'm greatful they've caught up! :jointsmile:

I haven't had a girlfriend for a year... and I really need to get back into the scene. I want to find something long term, and really, someone who could be somewhat of a companion.... however I'm not sure where to begin, and where to start looking.

Any advice guys(and girls)? I could really use it.

Go to a place where you'll find a girl you like. Ask a friend to hook you up. Just start flirting with a cute girl, and ask her out. Some random guy did that to my mom a few months ago. He just asked my mom, "Would you like to go to dinner?" My mom didn't even say anything to him, he just asked.

i dont know man, i just believe that cant be found it will just come along one day and one day we will all know.

Rememeber, you want to spend time with them. Just think about trying to entertain yourself to pass time rather than getting nervous about the prospects of succeeding or failing. Be yourself as well. Don't compromise who you are for any woman, because they'll be one that likes you.

Well said. If you try an act, even if it initially works, it won't last. If you're honest, even if most don't like you, someone will, and she'll be the one who lasts.

if youre gunna be going to college/university then itll be so easy to find someone you wanna stay with

take it slow when you do start talkin to someone you interested in. girls like their space (ladies correct me if im incorrect) be nice, be polite and be a fuckin gentlemen...if you got a dry sence of humour ease it in

biggest thing to remember is to FUCKING LISTEN TO HER...every little thing counts. relationships are about doing ALL the small things for her

If you are all fake in an interview to get hired, chances are you are not a good fit for that job and either you or your employer is going to be unhappy.
If you are fake in a relationship, you are going to be sitting there 20 years from now at a bar complaining to your drinking buddies about how the bitch got the house.
It sounds, then, that you are suggesting to PRETEND to be a gentleman, and PRETEND to listen to your girl.

My advice to Tom is to BE YOURSELF... if a girl likes you for who she THINKS you are, not for who you really are, the relationship is doomed to failure.

And anyway, f'real, have some pride! The attitude of 'take me as I am or don't take me at all' is better than if you really suck, and have to pretend to be worthy of female attention...
