PS3 vs. Xbox 360

personally... I kinda think they(xbox 360 Wii PS3) all suck... I find Wii fun but I really dont play it that much and i could see how it could get boring... However, more scripted lines is not exactly what I would call innovation...
I've kinda realized that I look like an asshole for arguing over something that really is just a simple case of personal choice which only the purchaser can make correctly... so i appologize

soooooooo..... WTF IS CROSSPLAYER? as far as i know here's only single and multiplayer... what else can there be? playing by yourself (or with computers) or playing with other players (also can be with computers) ....?

how about you just tell me what exactly is so good about it... o.0 cuz all i can find is 'crossplayer'

oh yeah... i don't tend to argue over shit like this either... but it's a natural response to people just perpetuating what they hear other people say, instead of looking at cold hard facts... much like the govt. has alot of people doing with weed (among other things)

the crossplayer idea in the crossing is basically that while you are playing through your single player campain when the game needs to include AI character enemies it sends out an invite to people playing multiplayer skirmishes online to come join your single player game as these enemy players.. they are however still overmatched by you just like a comp player would be. Apparently there will be rewards for playing as the bad guys in other players SP campains to encourage people to do this...I just find this to be an awesome idea and im really excited to be able to play in someone elses single player campain

hm.... well that's not completely new.... i mean the idea of being the enemies in a single player campaign is kinda... but re online (dunno what it was called, but i remember him telling me that when you die on the game you can become a zombie and start attacking the players... tho this was really early, before it was actually even out (a couple of weeks from release) so it may not be true... but he seemed to of had alot of info pointing to this... becuase he had heard other rumors he didn't give credit to, this he gave alot of credit to... kinda like everyone already knew this somehow.. i dunno how to explain it.. o.0)

with that said... if what he told me is true then the idea behidn it isn't entirely new to gaming, if it is false, it's not something new to everyone, just no one's put it in a game until now...

still sounds awesome tho....

true there may be other forms similar but i find the whole system (picking players out of DM games online) really cool... w/e could be awesome or jsut a gay marketing ploy lol time will tell

like taking the whole single player campaign type shit to a whole new level, instead of just pre-programmed functions (even some of the 'high tech AI' they're putting in games now still makes you feel like you're playing a retard...) you got people who can think, and use the enviroment to their advantage (aside from ducking down under vehicles for a shot or peeking around corners, or crouching behidn a short wall....)

i dunno how well that'll work tho... multiplayer campaign? maybe... but going against a bunch of other people and trying to be rambo LOL... well tha'ts gonna make the game last a good damn long time to say the least... (actually that's prefered, i hate getting a game and 2 days later being done with it... it's really fucking annoying, even the hardest games i have done... makes me really wonder why i don't rent anymore... wtf is the point in continuing to buy a 50$ or so game if it doesn't have online play (like BLACK) if it's going to out live is' ussage in 3 or so days...)

but i could also see alot of people getting mad and giving up on it, cuz they just keep dying over and over....

Well slipknot I read some of your, rather... long posts about such a topic and want to ask why is it so bothersome? If the kid says the 360 pwns the ps3 let him talk whatever he wants just like the little annoying kids with mic's on the internet...

Im also quite outa it too, but it seems while yet equal you seem to not like the xbox and the 360. I dont see how payin for online service is bad, its 50$ a year. Full membership and everything. And ive NEVER had any problems with the servers. Half the games on the 360 dont even have servers they pick the hostee of the game and essentially make them the 'host' and play off their connection. And seein as the Ps3 costs 200$ more then the 360 thats four years of Xbox Live. And im sure in another 3 years there will be a newer/bigger thing. And im satisfied as fuck with the 360 features (online)

Private Chat, messaging, very in-depth stats in game and on websites, invite games, compare games, and the Feedback/Rep system works awsome, xbox arcade and the Marketplace is outstanding. I dont know what the Ps3 has but I dont hear anything as the 360's online system.

And you say that a good reason why the 360 is doin better is its been out 'forever', for one its been a year and 3 months and that is not a long period of time at all. And I dont see why havin the 360 dealt out first has any negative effect in this debat. If anything it shows that microsoft knew what it was doing and shelled out somthin just as good as Ps3 in less time. And if anything that extra year should of added more 'hype' to the system. Instead more got lured into the 360 with the good reviews.

Yea the Ps3 may have some good games comin out but the 360 is just gona match it (Halo 3, Brothers in Arms, Halo Wars, Resident Evil, Battlefield games, Unreal 2007) and not including the already popular games out. But the thing I saw you post was Sony fucked with the prices. And thats gona stick with it for a while. And also since the 360 has been out for a year the bugs/glitches have *mostly* been fixed/or dealt with. Unlike the 600$ Ps3.

I could go on, about games, the original games, opinions, and go on that the Ps3 has better 'specs' but it seems that they arent even being used. The 360 isnt too far behind. And I really dont care. So what that the Ps3 can read a 100 page book while the 360 is on page 95. Its almost the fuckin same.

And not tryin to start anythin or even if I know wtf im talkin about but I was tryin to be more insightfull then 'station' in tryin to show you how the 360 will be more of choice even when the future comes. Respond please, ive had this debate many-a-times but every time theres always more facts or more time to completely change the debate. Thanks.

i meant to respond sooner, but i had to go somewhere, i'm quite high at the moment for the first time in 3 months and i just want to enjoy it...

ok maybe it's cuz i got high.. but i'm tired of arguing over this really, so i'm just gonna let it go.... i've pretty much made every point i can, i wasn't expecting to change anyone's idea, and i hope no one wanted to change mine cuz i'm still going to be getting my ps3...

all i'll say in response to the last post... is if you can't see how a system being out for a year before another one could make a diffrence... well i guess you're not looking at what i'm looking for... the main argument on all this crap, is 360 has more game... of course it has more games, it's been out for a year now... it's not like all the game makers sitting there lining up game after game for when the system is released, there's only a handful upon release..

anyways... i'm tired of arguing over it so i'm letting it go... i may bring it up again, but it'll be after both have been out a year + as i said earlier in the thread, that's the sweet spot for any new system... it's where all the game companies start figuring out how they can push the system to it's max, without creating an unstable game, meaning they figure out how to use what they have available... and there's a wide spread assortment of games.... originals to cross systems..
