I was wondering the marches next year will the press be covering them? & the mps i contacted are from various party's. Lib Dem, Conservatives, Independent, Plaid Cymru, but still haven't had any more reply s as yet. Starting to think i aint gona get any more. Back to the marches i was a little disappointed that there isn't a march any closer to my area. I live in Mid Wales Powys and with the marches being so far away. Not sure i can get to them. I will try my best though. Be better if the organisers could hold marches in more locations as well as London, Birmingham and Middlesbrough. I think that the travelling stops a lot of people like myself getting to them. Be excellent if some one could organise a marches in Shrewsbury, Aberystwyth and other places around the country. I had a good idea for a advert last night when in my bed. A 2 part ad shown on tv one after the other. The first could show some people coming out of a pub fairly drunk and could progress into them beating some one up because the person looked at them funny or said something. Then the next part of the add could have the same people leaving a house were they have been smoking cannabis and they run into the same person they beat up in the previous add but this time they have a laugh and a joke with them. At the end of the first add there could be a voice over saying something like Alcohol causes more & more assaults and deaths every year and on the second adds voice over could state the fact that cannabis doesn't cause fights and has never killed any one. I was a little stoned when i had this idea so sorry if its stupid lol. Then at the very end it could say Alcohol more dangerous than cannabis.... Vote to legalise cannabis.... Everyone let me know what you think.

here is the reply i had from Glyn Davies:
Thank you for your email. I am not in favour of the legalisation of
cannabis and I was strongly opposed to its recent reclassification.
Where it
is recommended as a response to the alleviation of a medical condition
I am
content to support its use.
Best wishes, Glyn Davies
i had another reply as well but i acidently deleted it and cant remember which one it was from sorry.

regarding the march, i know there are a few campaigners in north wales, prehaps between you you could arrange something?
i know that local papers DO tend to print cannabis stuff, they enjoy it! So you could just do the "old blag" call up the paper and say next year on May
5th there will be a cannabis march through......... whatever town/city. Register it on the global marijuana march website, so people know its on.
ask your local head shop, and grow shop plus music shops or other toker frindly outlets, to put up a poster.
the poster can just say:
Global Marijuana March
May 5th 2007
Join the world protest for cannabis legalisation
Starting at ............................ at 10 am
Finishing at .............................. with a small gathering in the park
although you should call the police and council.......if you are NOT organising it, its not up to you, the police and council will hear about it, they cannot really stop it, but dont hold your hands up and say, i organised this but didnt tell you, instead say, i wonder who organised this fabulous event, and giggle.
for you can have a march and people will come, and not much effort but lots of gossip will ensure people turn out.
and in the worst case senario, you get there and no one else has made it, just keep on walking and plan better for next time ;)
give them a week or so!
also if they say they support medical use if they feel it is necesary for medical users to face prison for their chice of medication.
i feel we have to be strong, the prohibitionists are digging away to make cannabis sound bad, two years ago nearly every mp supported reclassification and so did the police, we need to find evidence that cannabis does not cause phycosis, i'll be a guinea pig, as long as i dont have to smoke soap xx
took me 2 weeks to get a reply but i got one (Andrew Gorge)
cant spell his name soz
I had a reply through the mail today. A 3 page letter came this morning in the mail. first page was a letter from Mick Bates AM. It said:
Thanks for your email yesterday regarding the legalization of cannabis in the UK. I have enclosed a copy of the Liberal Democrats Policy Briefing on the subject for your information. I hope it will be useful to you.
If i you need anything further, please don't hesitate to contact me again.
MICK BATES AM
Montgomery shire
That is what the letter said. The liberal democrats policy briefing dated January 2005 was enclosed and is 2 pages long. I am going to try an get it scanned. But if i cant find a scanner i will type it in to a post. So keep an eye out here when i get a chance i will post it. Basically they admit Prohibition doesn't work but concerning legalization they seem to tend to lean towards decriminalization allowing cannabis users not to be arrested for using and carrying cannabis also they are in favour of allowing cannabis users to grow there own plants unto 3 plants. To take cannabis out of the illegal drug trade.
I will type the document into word later then copy and paste it onto here for everyone to have a read. Hopefully have more reply s like this. I thinking if they have these views we maybe can get them to make a speech at a legalization event of some kind. Here is his email if any one ells wants to email him: [email protected]
i will email him back later to thank him for his rapid reply.Does anyone think it is worth asking him about if he or one of his party members would consider making a speech during the next march?

Sorry but confusion has struck. I read it was 20th July 2007 but on a post above it says 5th of May. When is the actual date so i can change posts i have made in various places.
