Cookin some LSD

^^^^ firstly Et2O doesn't exist as Et isnt a chemical symbol (i just checked a periodic table) and ethanol is C2H5(OH)....i could being reffering to ergotamine tartrate (ET) but that still wouldn't make sense in a compound.... wouldn't believe the synthesis either as it doesn't use the right language at all
i.e. using: "A solution of 6.7 g KOH in 100 mL H2O"
when it sould say : 100 cm(3) solution of x.xx(can't be arsed figuring out) mol L-1 of KOH.
if anyone has ever heard of 'recreational Drugs - Proffesor Buzz(ebook)' i got it off limewire and that has a believable but fucking complicated "recipie"

In short, it's Diethyl Ether-- two ethyls (Et) bonded to an Oxygen.

2. The volume of your solution would change when you mixed the solvent and the solute. Since giving the volume and molarity of the finished solution would cause the reader to have to crunch the numbers in reverse to figure out the ingredients, it's easier just to say how much solvent and solute to mix, and allow the solution to be whatever molarity and volume it will.

3. I don't see any incorrect reference to ethanol... what gives?

Anyone trying to order ergo-anything should have an attorney on speed dial. Getting enough ergot fungus to do anything would involve growing a crop of rye, getting a sample of the fungus, infect the rye, harvest a couple acres of grain by hand, then you move to the extraction, preferably somewhere that the smell of a boatload of ether won't attract attention. Do all that right, you have ONE of the almost impossible to get chems, then you get to make diethylamine. Meanwhile, back in the real world...

I have a friend who was in pre-med school (he's a doctor now) and he is a very smart man. He had a LABRATORY and ALL THE PRECURSORS to make acid, and even he couldn't do it.

So, for the last time: Unless you are a chemistry guru with significant resources, you cannot make LSD.

to answer 2. i would never trust a instuctions of that kind of complication when it was talking about mixing chemicals it sounds as if it sounds fake from the start.
