I have no problem with catching, killing, cleaning, and eating my fish. It's just the natural order of things. I mean, if you eat meat at all, your just letting someone else do the killing for you, and it can be much crueler than if you do it yourself.

i actually like the taste of rainbow trout over crappie, i actually think it depends on the body of water and its purity because ive noticed slight taste differences in different bodies of water. Dont think ive tried blue gill but i have tried sunfish and its pretty good also.
Ill have to try some bass next time, i thought it tasted like catfish, nasty bottom dweller fish taste....

Btw, I hate cleaning catfish, which is one of the reasons I eat them rarely. I usually just throw them back...

Fish experience pain on par with higher mammals. And their mouth parts are the most sensitive.
i meant i handle them with no respect, might drop em or rip the hook right out instead of sliding it out. Most the time i just chuck them as far as i can....
meh.... maybe ill have to life a few 100 lives as a fish in one of those trout farms that people can fish from for like 15 bucks...those are fish slaughter houses
