I mentioned somethings he could do... like working at a foodbank or an inner city elementry school. The age thing is an issue, because his opionions seem to be formed off a sophmoric understanding of history.Quote:

Dude, advocating anrcho-libertarianism does not make you a fucking free-thinker. It's been advocated before and it has been done a lot more eloqunetly then you do. And then you have the balls to challenge my ability to be a free thinker? Part of being a free-thinker is being able to synthesize facts and formulate an original opinion. All the facts that Penguin used are highly subjective (and inacruate).
I've spent so much time correcting you, now I will give you my view:
Government has two functions, one is protecting the general welfare of its citizens (a spinoff of Rousseau), and the other is national security. As a society since the Cold War, we have negelected the general welfare for a hawkish security policy driven by fear to keep the powers that be in order. However, there is a way out.
By getting people involved in the workings of the government, we can deliver election victories that are so overwhelming they can not be ignored. We have to stand firmly for soical equality and justice and elect candidates who do the same. We need to run for office and build a movement from the ground up. Basically, we need to do what the conservatives did in the 60s and orginize a national movement. The pendullum will swing back one day. We can not stop to whine and bitch, we can only work harder every day.
allright, first off, ---ATTENTION SLIPKNOTPSYCHO--- i saw a comment you made on my first post on this thread. You mentioned that you weren't out of high school, but for some reason i think youve said youre married. i remeebr you making references to your wife a lot, am i imagining things or what..? but yeah, i gotta still stick behind my accusations on high school kids not having credible opinions on deep thinking questions like this. im sorry, but life is based off of EXPERIENCES, experiences that take years and years to accumulate, once youre off living on your own and not having mommy telling you what to do, then it would make more sense.
teenagers can speculate as much as they want, but living through various events that help you construct these opinions is more credible
Wrong.
So wrong.
"Getting people involved" My friend, let ME clue you in on a couple of things.
Number one, people are already as involved as they can be. If there's something seriously stressing them, they go out and write a letter to their congressman (been there, done that)
Number two, the government institutions for helping the needy are poor at best. Not only are thousands of people kept from benefiting from these programs which they so desperately need, but the funding for the programs is being slashed. This country is in a multi-TRILLION dollar defecit from things ranging from Hurricane Katrina to the War in Iraq. In order to cope with the massive debt, budgets are being cut, and guess which ones are getting cut first?
I'm talking about your ego. It's more then government lies, it's lies about yourself and your place in society. But yeah, I guess the way everything is set up in this country is responsible for the low uptake of useful information to the brain... and that is the governments fault. So I guess yeah, they are evil... and deceptive. They do no good... they show good but really the entire world would be better off with the foreboding US government.Quote:

Shut up. I'm not doing this or speculating because mommy told me so, and I don't need to have LIVED in this country any longer than I have to know what's going on. What makes living 10, 20, whatever more years experiencing the same shit I do so special?Quote:

It's not a matter of experience, it's a matter of knowledge. Experience is just another way of aquiring knowledge, just as much as RESEARCH is.
I stopped reading your posts after your last one... would you just stfu with historical facts and statistical bullshit and discuss the matter at hand? Working at a foodbank is nice, but it won't don't shit all. You're so fucking blind it shows... you make these essay posts with facts and shit but you completely miss the point of this thread... all I caught in this post was "anrcho-libertarianism" and when I saw that I couldn't read on. Stop labelling his idea... that's not even what it is... and don't come back with some facts about anrcho-libertarianism for christ sakes, you'll just make yourself look more like a fool.Quote:

i don't think half of you actualy stop to think of what you're actually saying, i think you just want to argue cuz you have nothing better to do, stress build up, sexual frustration, the list could go on and on.... and some of you seem to just want to use big words, to impress others, but don't actually think what your words mean... your words mean this (those saying the govt. is fine and dandy): YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE period. there's no two ways about it... if you think you're govt. works fine when people speak out what they want, then stop smoking weed until it is legalized in the USA... if you're going to support this shit you call a govt. don't do it half-assed.. do it right. if you're so sure the govt. works the way you all like to make it seem, then do the right thing and stop knowingly/willingly commiting these crimes (smoking weed is a prime example) and go ahead and you do it by the system...
another thing, if age matters, and age effects wisdom... why are there kids that are 15-16 that are fucking geniuses, yet there are 30-40 year olds working at burger king, and still having problems on how to make a whopper? age doesn't make a dick when it comes to wisdom, experience does, but age doesn't dictate experience in any way, shape or form. i can't prove anything, but from the way some of you talk, i'm willing to bet i have experienced more, learned more and absorbed more knowledge in my 20 years of life then most of you have or will have by 30.....
it really fucking bothers me that most of you twist shit around so that it fits your needs, whenever it's convienent rather than staying true to yourself and everyone else... prime example: you are supportive of the govt. and think it has little or no problems, and that the system works just fine, yet you smoke weed while it's still illegal... like i said, if the system works just fine, stop fucking smoking illegal drugs until your precious govt. that knows what's best for you and would never wrong you, declares it safe and legal... which, atleast i'm realistic when i say i doubt it will ever happen, because then the govt. would have to eat it's own damn words, and they know this... and as it's shown us before, eating it's own words is not something it does....
