If you think Jesus is unique, you're sadly mistaken. Check up on Ancient Egyptian religion, Jesus is pretty much a combination of Osiris and Horus. Every miracle he supposedly performed was previously performed by these two, and often the wording describing the miracles are identical.
Consider this: There's a story that says that Horus raised Osiris from the dead. Legend also has it that the Hebrew people spent a long time in Egypt, therefore the Egyptian influence on their culture is certain. The Hebrew word for Osiris is Asar, and the called him El Asar, which means Lord Osiris. Therefore, according to ancient Hebrews, Horus raised a man named El Asar from the dead. Of course, during the time of Jesus, Latin was pretty much the official languange of the Empire, and El Asar soon became El-Asar-us, or Lazarus. Thus, in the Gospels, Jesus raises a man named Lazaraus from the dead.
This is only one little example out of hundreds. The Bible is not a great work of wisdom and religion, it's a rehash of older religions that are given a new facade. It's like if I write a book, and simply re-write Moby Dick in my own words... Would you call that a great book?
